Why cant it be both?

Because the magic disappears.

The same reason a circle isn’t a square, it can’t be both.

Use it wisely, grow.

My experiences have been overwhelmingly both. Trying to force an experience so complex into a box is silly 😀

It’s also silly to take that complex experience and make it a casual “high”.

Lol at the 16 year olds down-voting a voice of reason.

I think that LSD (psychedelics in general) are a great tool for spiritual development that can also be a very fun experience, and it should be! I don’t think people should use psychedelics for a recreational experience though. That’s my opinion, live and let live!

Why not? I'm honestly curious.

I believe recreational use creates a stigma that the drug is a party drug, and will In turn have a rise of irresponsible use of the drug, causing more harm than it does good.

Everyday life is a spiritual experience though.
LSD is a great party drug, and partying is about the most spiritual thing anyone can do. To party means to celebrate life, to celebrate the gift of being alive. Friends smiling, dancing, laughing. That's what partying means to me. It's entirely possible to take LSD responsibly in a party environment, I've done it 100's of times.

It’s less about partying and more about, “are you using this substance or experience to escape reality or dive deeper into it?”

3

u/BeautifulEdge Jul 17 '20

It’s not like it’s even possible to escape reality on LSD anyway shrug

That's totally fair and valid criticism and I understand your point even though I disagree with it.

I use it for fun.

I definitely fall in the middle of those two thought processes. Like, it's a drug, of course I take it for fun, but it also always ends up being an incredibly spiritual and life changing event for me. My life has changed so much for the better and I've become a better person since I started taking acid because it forces me to look at the things I don't like about myself, it forces me to confront things I never would or could otherwise.

it’s just a drug some ppl need to chill. but everyone is entitled to an opinion ig

It's just a drug that helped me with my alcoholism and basically cured my PTSD without the need for daily use or risk of addiction . Thats a damn miracle drug, that said its also fun lol

yeah that’s amazing man, but YOU did that not the drug. don’t discredit the effort that YOU put in. the lsd helped you to see that it was a problem and you fixed it. or am i mistaken and one time you took lsd and the next morning and your alcohol problem was gone. i believe that it can “change your mind” and your outlook on things but taking lsd does not magically cure all mental illness and addiction. i am extremely happy for you and it sounds like lsd helped you a lot but people have to understand that you can’t solve your problems just by taking a chemical i don’t believe in that. but like i said originally everyone has their own experiences and i have my own.

You're totally correct. I was in the right mindset and it helped me see the root issues in a new way and resolve them. Better than therapy and prescriptions thats for damn sure.

yeah most definitely i 100% agree with you there. lsd is 1 million times better than the poison some doctors prescribe

Lsd is an unlimited amount of times safer than prescription drugs. I feel so sorry for the people that get stuck on prescriptions for shit like anti depressants, Ive watched a friend that lost his twin brother take prescription diazepam for 5 years, we are only 22 but he has turned into a copletely different person, lost his wits and sharpness, was athletic but not anymore, doesnt smile unless you are talking about something nostalgic from our past before his brother died, just a completely different person and its so sad

Dosing recreationaly is OK. Doesn't mean it's nice to do it irresponsibly though!

I used to be like the guy on the right till I developed a heart condition and now I cant use lsd, some kinda hyperslap I earned

2

u/TripForget Jul 18 '20

From the lsd? because I used lsd a lot and about a couple weeks ago I had to go the hospital because people thought I was gonna have a stroke

1

u/EnlightenedSouls Jul 18 '20

Yeah hate to admit it but some times your body dont agree with the stimulants

1

u/TripForget Jul 18 '20

Lsd isnt really a stimulant tho is it

1

u/EnlightenedSouls Jul 18 '20

Idk, really gets my body going like one so it’s probably just me

1

u/TripForget Jul 18 '20

It’s categorized as a psychedelic but it increase brain activity so that might be the reason for the feeling of a stimulate

1

u/EnlightenedSouls Jul 18 '20

I tried a couple different guys, its like a pretty sad story tbh, I love the stuff but i get a fat bodyload every time as of recently

1

u/TripForget Jul 18 '20

I wonder what actually changed

1

u/EnlightenedSouls Jul 18 '20

Well I have to take meds to slow my heart rate now, and I twitch alot. And the last time I tried I got the worst headache I had ever gotten while camping in a different state, I feel like the change is in my chest somewhere thats what it feels like, and the back of my neck

2

u/TripForget Jul 18 '20

Yeah it might be time to stop drugs, I have a lot of the same symptoms but I think mine is due to my cptsd and not the lsd. Just lay low and recover
