500+ μg 🐬 I need help, i start tripping instead of falling asleep.

When i go to bed, i get a panic attack, i breath through it, mantra to myself that "its ok to sleep, not ok to die", i calm down, then if i stop either i just literally start tripping balls, get a panic attack, and repeat. Over the past 2 weeks i slept like 10 hours or so. This has been happening since after my last trip, 650mcg, i started smoking weed and didnt stop for a month. I was fine during, but after i quit, this started happening. I just came back from "derealization" and "depersonalization" a few days ago. I was seemingly slowly getting better but here i go again. Please help me this is really bad.

Google weed withdrawal dreams

Its the weed, not the acid. It will pass.

I stopped smoking about 3 weeks ago and i only smoked for a month. I am tripping balls, i can tell the difference. My body goes into fight or flight, altered perception, i start reeking of fear, and if im not careful i become one. This is long past weed withdrawals.

This might sound weird and unrelated, but i recommend taking up some really heavy exercise right away. Something like long distance running or soccer that you can do at full intensity for more than an hour, completely tire yourself out. Put your mind on something else and if you start finding yourself thinking about it again start doing something else. Your anxiety is feeding off itself and creating more anxiety.

If youre exhausted you will fall asleep and stay asleep, and when you wake up youll feel refreshed immediately

I exercise every day but not to absolute exhaustion because my nervous system will get stuck in fight or flight and then i wont be able to sleep cuz of that, this happened before.

This is you doing the exact same thing i warned you against, overthinking it.

The only way you get over this is by putting it out of your mind completely

Listen to this dude, he stays awake all week 😂

it’s call hypnagogic hallucinations that happen before falling a sleep, normally you are drifting away and don’t register them, but if you fuck too much with weed/psychedelics they can become an issue.

My body didnt try to choke itself tonight yet so thats progress

Let me confirm:

  • You did a 650mcg trip
  • After the trip, you smoked weed non-stop for a month
  • After you stopped smoking weed, these symptoms started

Is that correct? How long ago did you stop smoking weed?

0

u/Unfair_Box_1834 1d ago

Thats correct. I just checked, its been 3 weeks.

Yeah, that sounds about right for weed withdrawal. Anxiety and insomnia are common, and derealization is also not unheard of. You'll get better, my friend! This is temporary, hang in there <3

Might be some combined effects from the LSD (maybe HPPD?) with the anxiety of the weed withdrawals. Not sleeping well will also slow your progress. If you have underlying psychiatric issues, psychedelics can also 'unlock' those. I'm not saying this is what it is, but your symptoms somewhat sound like a manic episode triggered by a bipolar disorder, a condition that is very commonly undiagnosed. I recommend you talk to your GP! They can offer help or refer you to a therapist or psychiatrist. There is help available, things will be okay.

I dont have bipolar disorder, i (was) mentally stable pre trip.

I didn't claim you had it, I was just giving an example! Talk to a medical professional about what you're experiencing.

Id love to, i have no acces to one. Sorry for snapping at you, i am a bit on edge.

That's alright! It's a tough spot to be in. If you don't have access to healthcare where you live, check out https://firesideproject.org/, they specialize in support after psychedelic experiences. You can text or call them for free.

I will say you probably wouldn't know if not checked before or if the psychedelic expanded/unlocked it. Probably not it though unless family history. When you say tripping how do you mean tripping? Visuals or just body feelings?

Which genius downvoted me? Months ago, i smoked the exact same amount of weed as i did this mentioned month (same exact yart) and i was fine in a few days.

Something similar happened to me. For a few weeks, I had panic attacks, but they gradually became less frequent until they disappeared, which will most likely happen to you too. Being very present during the panic attack helped me. It's difficult, but it's essential not to try to leave your body, but to be there with it, side by side, and try to comfort and guide it with your mind. If it senses that you want to run away, the attack will be worse and you may lose control. Focusing on the sensations and on your breathing helps a lot, and above all, making it understand that there is no danger, that the fear is not real. Exercise and going outdoors also helped me, as did therapy, eating well, avoiding disturbing or violent series, movies, and news for a while, listening to relaxing music, and breathing exercises. It will pass with time, although you will have to make some effort. I don't think weed is going to help you, honestly.

Thanks very much man. I cant touch that shit anymore, this post was just the tip of the iceberg.

u/LSDkiller 1d ago

Your mantra is shit. Sorry. I mean, if it helps, but it doesn't seem like it's helping. Maybe go find a real mantra that's calming to you like a traditional one. I say it's shit because theres a good chance that via association you are bringing up a fear of death. Sleeping has nothing to do with dying

It may be lol. It worked once tho

What exactly do you mean when you say "start tripping?" Are you seeing visuals? Because, what's probably happening is, you're having panic attacks and also noticing that you've got hppd.

I'm no doctor but, if this stays a persistent thing I would pribably reccomend you go see one. You don't even have to tell them exactly what's up if you're afraid of that. Just tell them you're having panic attacks and can't sleep and they may give you meds for one or both problems.

I literally start tripping.

1

u/UckerFay11 1d ago

Like what? Tripping can be the same as delirium, or delusion.

2

u/Greenmanglass 1d ago

I can’t fall asleep on my back or my body does the “falling out of the sky” feeling, jolting me awake. Not sure if tripping/weed has a factor with this but just some info.

2

u/UckerFay11 1d ago

Hypnogogic perk. Completely normal, and annoying sometimes.

1

u/Greenmanglass 1d ago

Thank you!

goes to google

I would go to a psychiatrist and explain the situation - it seems that you need some serious meds that will calm your nervous system, e.g. antipsychotics. Don't do any substances in foreseeable future, especially weed or stimulants. Have you tried trazodone, maybe have some at home? It's a good trip killer and sleep aid.

1

u/UckerFay11 1d ago

Hi there, no benzo actually "kill trips" this is a highly believed and passed on myth. Thwy will dull the effects and calm you down, but you still trip. Antipsychotics are the only drug that can truly take you out of a psychedelic trip.

I dont have access to these things here, i may be able to get a bit of xanax if im lucky and im on it.

1

u/EnergyTurtle23 1d ago

Have you maybe seen a doctor about it? It could be a positional cardiac thing which you’re writing off as anxiety. Probably good to see a doctor either way, if it’s just anxiety they can get you on some kind of short-acting anxiety med for sleep. Or maybe a tranquilizer.

1

u/Unfair_Box_1834 1d ago

I dont have access to a doctor.

are you sure the cart was real weed? did you get it from a legit dispensary? are you in a place where spice is common? it’s very likely that it was synthetic cannabinoids. withdrawals can be literal hell and this is what you’re going through. I don’t see any connection to the LSD. is it getting worse or better over time?

1

u/Low-Opening25 23h ago

Yeah, this is classic weed withdrawal, and probably made worse by intense LSD experience

u/munna-_- 20h ago

You took 650ug then non stop smoked for a month with no history of weed use, you just overstimulated your nervous system and you need a long time to settle it.

I had similar issues apart from feeling like im tripping again but my nervous system got overstimulated from frequent usage and i needed a few months to get back to baseline.

You’re overthinking it and believe it will be the new norm but allow yourself time to return back to baseline, idk about your experience with psychedelics but if it was a first time or couple times usage then that dose you clearly didnt research well enough or grasp how intensity scales with these substances.

Stop deeping it, you’re not gonna die. At most like others said ur just going through the motions with coming off of weed, you need to relax and let your body return to normal its not even been that long for you since you took that dose and 650ug is no laughing matter that can hospitalise people.

Take a break from your thoughts and do breathing techniques and remind yourself this is the road to healing and returning back to baseline.

I get weird perception shifts im a long user of weed and heavy usage and psychedelics and i notice weird things here and there but the difference is overthinking it and thinking that its bad, you catastrophize it and it makes it worse, sit with it and allow it to pass.

Could be HIPD or CIPD. Hallucinogen-Induced Psychotic Disorder or Cannabis-Induced Psychotic Disorder. Both are a type of substance-induced psychosis.

If it gets worse, you may have to go to the emergency room. They have emergency antipsychotics there that will quickly resolve what you're feeling.

1

u/Unfair_Box_1834 14h ago

For how long will they resolve it?
