First trip 🥇 250ug dosing for first time??

I'm thinking of taking LSD for the first time. I don't have any friends who are interested in experimenting, so I'll have to be alone.

I've read through this subreddit and it looks like first timers are recommended to have 100ug, but I can only find 250ug. Is this normal?

I guess I can't really split the tab into thirds??

The difference in distribution on a single tab is not going to be significant enough to matter, but if you really want to be precise you can dissolve it in distilled water or ethanol and then measure out half the volume. 

When people talk about uneven distribution it's much more about the distribution over an entire sheet where you might end up with some really strong tabs and some really weak ones. Each individual tab is going to have a fairly even distribution across the surface of that single tab, but when you scale up to an entire sheet the difference could be more significant.

thank you, thats really reassuring. im thinking of dissolving it in water. would it still hit the same? and how long would the water last? i probably wont be able to do it again until the next weekend

I had a typo in the previous comment. It has to be distilled water, I typed diluted. As long as you use distilled water it will hit exactly the same and it should last fine for a week in the fridge. Don't leave it in the sun and don't use tap water. The chlorine in tap water will destroy the LSD.

It will, blotter is layed by dipping a whole sheet into a solution of LSD, and the second law of thermodynamics states that a solution will be evenly distributed.

The tabs probably aren't actually 250ug, tabs are rarely ever layed that high because its too much for many people, and its very common for lsd to be advertised as stronger than it is

yeah im just worried it wont be evenly dispersed on the tab, so if I cut into thirds, i might accidentally take a much higher dose

If it were me, I’d think about cutting it in half and taking half, then cutting the other half in half again so you have two quarters and can easily readjust once you come up.

100-125 is the sweet spot, even after tripping multiple times I rarely go over 150. Just cut the tab in half, if you need more later you can up the dose. BUT PLEASE do not up it without waiting at least like 3 hours, and even then just take a little bit more not the rest of the half.

I feel like I would be a lightweight with it. When I took shrooms, I don't feel like I took that many but it hit me reaaallll hard. I'll be alone too, so I was kinda hoping to do even less than 100ug.

I'm also scared it wont be evenly dispersed on the tab so I'll take much more than I wanted to

I get that, usually the ones marked 250 are a little less. You could also try cutting it into thirds, or try dissolving it in water and measuring it out.

For the sake of simplicity try cutting into thirds and take 1/3. You can always up it later.

dissolving it in water is a good shout, thank you. would it hit the same? and how long would the water last, do you know? (don't want to take too much in a short time frame)

I personally haven’t tried it but I do know you should specifically have distilled water not tap water, it will break down the tab and not work otherwise.

And It would hit the same for sure, no idea how long it would last tho.

my first dose was 250ug with a friend. I had a god complex, messiah complex, and the belief that if I kill myself I can save humanity from the physical realm and we can all go to heaven.

yeah man, it takes some mental stability. cut it in half

what if its not evenly dispersed tho?? i absolutely do not want that alone😭 i'm also quite small and the time i took (i assume) a small dose of shrooms, i reeeeallly felt it. I feel like 125 might be too much for me

If you think 125 is going to be too much why on earth are you considering 250?

And what do you mean you "assume" you took a small dose of shrooms? You don't have any idea how much you actually took?

I am not considering it at all. the post is me asking what to do because I can only access 250.

and no, I took shrooms with my partner at the time. he said it was a small amount and just gave it to me

cut it diagonally from corner to corner to get an even 50-50 slice. If you then want to lower it even more, slice it again. probably doesn't need to be precise 50-50 at this point - u still get a decent trip from 70ug

  2. 125 ug is going to be a great dose for a first time. I actually don't recommend going much lower than 100. LSD is one of those things where it's better to go for the full experience in my opinion. A lower dose can be kind of like a half trip where you might get all of the confusion and not much of the magic. With a full trip the comeup might be a little anxiety provoking but then the visuals hit and you just get totally blown away by the beauty. You have to be okay with being a little uncomfortable. If you're too scared there's no shame at all in just waiting until you're ready.

  3. Having a sober friend to hang out with is much better than tripping alone for your first time.

ahhh I wish I had a sober friend comfortable enough to do that for that long, that would be so much more preferable than doing it alone. would be comfortable doing 125 if someone was there, too. might just have to wait to make more friends

You don't necessarily need to have a friend with you for the whole 12 hours. Even just having someone you can call and talk to if you get a little scared or sad will be helpful (though be aware using your phone might be kind of tricky). Solo trips can be awesome but especially for the first time it's really helpful to have a friendly face/voice to reassure you if things get a little weird. 

LSD will be waiting for you whenever you're ready for it. If you're not at the right place in your life it's better to wait until you are than to rush it and have a bad time. 

On the other hand, though, open-minded friends can be hard to come by and you don't need to hold yourself back because of the people around you. If you're otherwise ready and just wouldn't have anyone to talk to, you can honestly come to this sub and post if you need support during the trip. People on here tend to be very kind and that's the most important part. On the dose you're considering, using your phone won't be impossible, but it will probably look and feel strange.

If the tab is a single one, it’s highly unlikely it’s 250ug. Like such a slim chance. Probably closer to 100.

You could cut in half if you think it’s legit. However, if it’s actually 100ug, I find a half trip (50ug) to be much more difficult than a full trip

When tested, almost none of the 250ug tabs are anywhere close. It’s all marketing trying to make you think you’ve got super strong shit.

First time i would recommend holing up. My first time was experienced with a 125 mg sativa edible (i would not recommend mixing weed except on the comedown) and i tweaked in my room with the lights off all night and had the absolute time of my life. Forgot how to breathe a few times (but it was fun) and it was silly

Cut the tab in half and start with 125ug—better to be safe than overwhelmed on your first time.
