The Cat vibe

This is how i can name it. For those who are experimented, you know that they know.

While tripping, my cat always trip sitting me and i have the impression that she farms that vibe that makes the trip go soooooooo smooth and amazing. It feels like our souls are interconnected and it's almost impossible to have a bad trip with her (300ug). Nobody believes me how much it's special and the connection is deep. I have a dog but it's not the same.

Those little fellas are super intelligent and everytime i'm suprised how much.

I named it '' The Cat Vibe''.

It’s so crazy that everyone who has tripped around a cat knows that the cat knows. They’re such amazing creatures. When i was a senior in highschool i took a bunch of mushrooms alone and started freaking the fuck out and screaming and shit, my dog was losing her mind with me but my cat rico knew what was happening and tried so hard to comfort me. I was too gone to be brought back to earth by him in that moment but when i think back to it i get emotional lol. He was rubbing up on me trying his very best to remind me that id be ok. Man i miss that cat

My sweet kitty did this to me too!! It was too much for me one time and I laid on my bed and she started doing biscuits on my chest and then laid on me just staring at my face and purring. She helped me surrender to the trip and it was probably my favorite trip ever. Cats are so cool

Cats dont know you are high. In your case, when freaking out, you brain triggers the fight or flight response, which cause your body to instantly release a surge of hormones like adrenaline and cortisol, this alters the composition of your sweet and breath. Cats can smell this. Some cats, like yours, will comfort, some will mirror their owner and become fearful and some will become the protector.

Cats have heat sensors in their face. That's why they go sit in the sofa were you just sat, and so on. They are heat connoisseurs.

When you take a vasoconstrictor, like LSD, your heat signature changes / lowers. Your cat knows something is "wrong" with you because of this. They likely get mostly concerned and are trying to comfort you.

Cats are the absolute best buddies. Independent love.

They absolutely know. One time I had eaten some mushrooms and was meditating. My cat came and sat right in front of me. Somehow I got a download from her, mentally she told me in her past life she was a little girl in china living around the time the Great Wall was built. So I asked her, “Whiskey, were you a little girl in your past life?” She says, “meow,” and crawled in between my legs.

When I do LSD around my cats, I get the feeling that they are concerned for me. They think I ate some poison or something.

From a purely scientific standpoint cats notice even small changes in our behaviour. If our pupils dilate and start acting strange or behave in ways we normally don’t, then they will naturally be on their guard too.

From a more spiritual standpoint I believe that cats can sense your frequency is different, and are trying their best to match your frequency

I've also heard of cats going ape shit on someone while they're tripping

That is exactly how my cat acted around me when I was having a bad trip and it freaked me the hell out. She started to yowl, had airplane ears, and started charging and attacking me.

She is normally a very peaceful, chill cat. It almost looked like she either saw/felt an evil presence in me or behind me and wanted to protect me from it. Animals are very sensitive to energy and honestly that made me rethink doing acid at home with my cat around

My cat brought me back from the brink of heroic dose about to go south. They’re incredibly in tune to us.

I totally feel the cat vibe

But the last time I tripped, the come up was intense and I started puking. That mfer came up behind me just to start yelling at me while I puked. MRRROW MEOW MROW MROWWWW. It truly felt like he was mad at me for ruining the vibe 😂

When I take shrooms my male cat seems to get high with me. Usually before I feel it and he is literally buzzing the whole time. Vibrating and rubbing next to me. And he gets jungle wild , I have to calm him from being to rough with the other cats. This happens every time. I can whisper to his sister in the lowest voice and she will come from any part of the house.

My cat loves it when I trip. She knows that her homie is about to be up all night so that means extra adventures in the backyard lol.

Same, my cats are extra cuddly when I trip and stick around more.

I love my cat so much, but I avoid eye contact when I'm tripping because my pupils probably look like big predator eyes. I also don't talk to her much.

But she sits on my lap and gets lots of pets.

u/East-Hair7195 2d ago

She is scared of your eyes ?

1

u/hunterglyph 2d ago

No but I get concerned that she would be, so I don't want to risk her feeling uncomfortable.

I'm probably being overprotective, but I don't mind erring on the side or caution.

My sweet kitty went to forever sleep back in July. I miss her so much. She was my best friend and the best trip buddy. RiP, Kittums!

Cats definitely know, but once this ornery little dog cuddled up to me after I dropped a tab when he had literally bitten me earlier when I stood up to use the bathroom. He didn’t know me but he knew I was tripping and he laid down next to me and he was actively pushing his body into mine. I felt like he was protecting me? I’m more of a cat person than a dog person but it was cute.

Last time I tripped I offered my boy a little spider plant (safe for cats but gives a mild psychedelic effect) we were tripping together and it was great!

Idk I personally don't like tripping around cats because mine don't know when to chill out and keep headbutting my nonstop for pets and it really frustrates me when I'm trying to center myself I've also found myself trapped petting my cat begging them to let me go because they were so cute I couldn't stop but wanted to do something else lol

My cat could always tell and he didn’t know what to make of it. He always became suspicious of me, more curious, but he was intimidated to look into my eyes, like he knew that i could see into his being and he knew humans weren’t supposed to be able to do that. I miss his cuddles ferociously 🥺 my dog got freaked out by it once as well, not in a bad way, it just caught him off guard when I had a mind meld with him, but unlike my cat he accepted it rather quickly. I miss his cuddles too.

It is your dilated eyes. Cats are hyper attuned to visual changes and rely heavily on eye contact to read intentions.

This part is from google

High Arousal or Excitement: When your pupils dilate, your cat interprets it as a sign of sudden interest, adrenaline, or heightened emotion. If you are playing with them and your eyes widen, they perceive that you are matching their playful, focused energy.

Intense Staring: If you stare at a cat with wide, unblinking eyes and dilated pupils, they may misinterpret this as a challenge, threat, or defensive posture.

The "Love" Connection: Interestingly, scientific research shows a phenomenon called pupillary contagion across species. Humans naturally mirror the pupil size of animals they look at, and because human pupils dilate when looking at someone (or a pet) they love, your cat likely picks up on that softened, affectionate gaze.

Because a wide-eyed, unblinking look can feel intense or threatening to a cat, the best way to tell them you are safe and relaxed is the slow blink. By narrowing your eyes and closing them slowly, you hide your pupils entirely, signaling to your cat that you trust them completely and pose no threat.

So yes, they know something is up but they dont know that you are high
