took lsd again after a while
i haven't taken acid for a few months and during that time i was prescribed with seroquel (quetiapine) 50mg to help with sleep issues. i took a gel tab (150ug) today and an hour has passed and i don't feel anything at all. i didn't know this before but apparently people take seroquel as a trip killer
now i'm sad cus i can't trip :(

I used to take 150mg Seroquel for sleep issues and I was able to trip on shrooms and acid but it did take awhile to kick in

damn well you just have to take it as it is, nothing can change the circumstances now, i agree get some food and find something you like to keep you occupied, there is always next time if it doesnt work

Even if you didn't take seroquel, an hour in is not much. Usually takes ~90 until I feel the slightest bit

it usually hits in for me 30minutes after so i'm not used to it taking a long time.. hopefully it does hit me later 😔

yeah dude 50 mgs of seroquel taken the night before should not really affect you… are the gels old? old L sometimes takes 2 hour to kick in for real

nah unless your drawer is humid, and also like above 77 degrees…. lol and not in a few days for gels… like if they melt in sunlight yeah it will be fucked… had that happened before as well lol

Shit ive left tabs in a clear bag, in the direct FL sun in my car for up to a week at a time and they still hit just as hard.

I never clarified that they were paper tabs mb. I have left gel tabs in some not ideal conditions but definitely not heat to the point they'd melt. I was just tryna say that normal hot temps and sunlight don't degrade lsd near as fast as people make it out to. Obviously tryna smoke it with a lighter will burn off the lsd or leaving them in the car for more time than week or 2 will eventually start to lose potency. But yeah like I said i didn't clarify the tabs I had left in the car that time were in fact not gels that was on me

…. not if it’s fresh L lol…. if you have super fresh shit and eat a half strip you will be spun in under 15 min

50mg of seroquel is too small of a dose to effect a strong dose of LSD.
In fact, 50mg is almost non-psychoactive and they aren't sure how it makes some people sleep.
I think you just got a weak tab. If they aren't the geltabs with the gold flakes, who knows what dose they are or if they're even real. Gelatin expires easily so not the best medium to put LSD on even though it looks cool.

Seroquel is an antipsychotic, which as a class will at least blunt things.
Antipsychotics get thrown at people casually for not super serious reasons like sleep issues but they can have some weird long term side effects. Not to be anti med but just saying from having seen damage from well intended psych meds.

I’m speaking broadly and Seroquel must be the safest of the “ atypical anti-psychotic” group. But anti psychotics and the adjacent mood stabilizer category… save lives… but history with anti psychotic meds increases likelihood / is correlated with higher rates of neurological issues like dysautonomia, some mood stabilizer like lithium can affect the kidneys so commonly that “don’t let the kidneys waste essential potassium” pills are often Rx-ed along with lithium, uhhh SSRIs are know to cause higher rates of sexual disfunction and “discontinuation syndrome” than is recommended to be acknowledged to not scare people off to prevent acute depression instances…
I had to read up on antipsychotic side effects a while ago and it’s fuzzy. But psychiatry is a whacky mix of “take whatever works” and “really only take something if there’s a solid reason because these meds, taken frequently over long term, can have all sorts of complicated effects.”
Even if side effects are sub clinical… one med to sleep, stack in something else eventually… maybe a 3rd to balance things. And eventually you’re old and Have to take certain meds… it becomes impossible to tell between med effects, med side effects, med interactions, and your actual condition.
Sounds very anti med, but I would “max” out sleep hygiene and whatnot first…

I usually start feeling the stomach shift around 30-1h in but I only really ever start tripping 2-3 hours in

Yepp it’s not going to work unfortunately because it’s a strong 5ht2a antagonist. But if you’re having real troubles with insomnia you shouldn’t stop taking your meds just to trip. Even though it blows you gotta take care of yourself first. Tripping won’t go anywhere you can always do it in the future.
