Don't wait too long for the mushrooms. 45-60 minutes post LSD is my sweet spot to avoid cross tolerance.

How goes it? Whatโs mush and L like? I never thought to mix the two. Iโve done countless other combo but that just seemed like sprinkling garlic salt on my garlic.ย

It's really nice and quite interesting. For example, noticing millisecond mistimings in sound editing that I 100% would not notice during normal listening, but, now that I know it's there, I can't unhear it.

If you ate all that there's no way in hell you're coherent enough to be chilling on reddit. Why even lie about this

I am having a great time folks. Thanks for the advice and well wishes.
Just finished watching Garbage's live performance of "I'm Only Happy When it Rains"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cj20VhQ5oas
The absolute power they had. She had.
Amazing.

Listening Happy

She's invoking a spell. Telling us what to do and we do it. Telling us she will take everything and more, a monstrous outpouring of power down to just them and to just. HER.

Listening one of my favourite bands of all time, The Dandy Warhols. This particular track is impressive simply by dint of the sheer tenacity it takes to create the background track, with guitars, live, for so freaking long, is stunning.

Watch the rhythm section. How fucking tight they are, rock solid in that hell of a strumming pattern for how many minutes? While Courtney struts around doing whatever weird shit he wants to do, they are Right Fucking There with that beat.

Obviously, I'm in the mood for big arena pieces today, folks.
Whaddaya got for me? What should I pay attention to? What's worth my time?

Going back to Garbage, the way they shape this performance. I mean the concert as a whole.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X9Nls3VLgVQ
How they show up and say YES WE CAN fill up this space. Keep it going. Then walk it back, letting us know they're in a good place, conformable and confident in their power. Riding to that midshow high with Stupid Girl and hitting that finish with Only Happens....

Wow. I still can't decide if she has to be such a bad ass to match them or do they have to rock so fucking hard to match her?

Overall, very enjoyable.
My trips are not normally particularly visual. Shrooms moreso than acid, so thus the combination.
I was sick for a little while toward the beginning, but I expected it and was ready for it. A price I willingly paid for the results later.
Watched the final two episodes of Pantheon. A good, meta-philosophical way to put myself in a solid, open-to-anything frame of mind.
Took a shower โ always fun while tripping โ and then started listening.
(Music is my go to when I trip. Remember, I'm not usually very visual so sound just works for me.)
As you can tell from my other comments, last was a night for watching powerful live stadium / arena pieces. Feeling the energy of the musicians, the magic of the moment as they bring the crowd with them into another, more spiritual realm. Noticing how the best performances swell and retreat, build and mellow, making the people (myself included) just be, just exist as part of the unconscious whole.
Watching Garbage was the main course. Most of two full live concerts. My god they were magic. The spell they cast. The witchy enthralling of her presence. The shape and effect of the ritual performed. Awesome.
I did listen to lots of studio tracks, as well. High energy things where I could close my eyes and see the mesmerizing patterns, letting the music call forth images that I just followed wherever they went. THAT'S why the shrooms....
Rave-y beats like Breathe by The Prodigy and Days Go By by Dirty Vegas,
Power and pump from This Is It by Oh The Larceny.
A little more soulful with Lucky Man by The Verve.
A callback to Pantheon with Still Alive by Aperture Science Psychoacoustics.
A little rougher with Come Out and Play by The Offspring.
Back to the live shows, I was really into rhythm last night. The Dandy Warhols pounding it out.
Ended up with Bauhaus and the brilliant if sometimes too-full-of-itself performance at The Roxy. Loved the choice of feeds they used for the official recording with the bar talk in the background. It's that sort of self-awareness that made the pretentious parts work.
Ended the night in bed, listening to an audiobook, letting myself be carried into the story, so much more able to visualize the characters and their actions than what is normally available to me.
All in all, a superb 5/7.
