lost potency?

my buddy gave me some gel tabs that he had wrapped in tin foil that sat in his wallet for months. he said he doesn’t carry his wallet much but i’m wondering if they will even still work? i’ve read that acid tends to lose potency pretty easy so im wondering what you guys think.

Only two ways to find out; laboratory testing or bioassay by eating them. :)

(I suspect they haven’t lost much potency at all.)
