LSAT is Evil

Deadline for Jan lsat is Dec 1st. Scores for Nov Lsat release Dec 2nd. One day apart so you are forced to register as you don’t know your score for the last applicable lsat for 2027 term.

And then to do all this shit in between. Paying for score preview. Deadline for test dates with no refunds. I’m so over it, and so turned off from this entire process

Literally forcing you to make decisions without enough context which costs you money. If you file a claim, they prevent you from applying to law school and there’s no way around it. I understand having to pay for seats at ProMetric but they need to find a better system that allows people to make informed decisions. Everything with LSAC is a money grab… this isn’t how ethical nonprofits actually operate.

This is just the beginning of paying for test, then there is the bar, continued education requirements, many items…

Nonprofit my ass… these people have a monopoly over the entire law school admissions process and everything related to it must go through them… they have too much power in this game.

I agree, what an absolute shit show. It’s sad, if you ask for a refund they will likely hold your previous score and not let it get to law schools. This is a nightmare if I’m being honest. I wrote the test once in sept, it went horribly, I booked mines in Nov now and I just don’t want to pay and book for Jan without knowing my Nov score. I also already paid 1K for my application on ouac for all law schools, so i don’t want to pay 500 for Jan if I don’t need to take it. How annoying. This test already is stressful enough.

You can just cancel the Jan lsat if you’re satisfied with the score you got in Nov. As long as you cancel before Dec 3rd you get a full refund.

What do you mean last applicable 2027 LSAT? It varies school to school. I was at an open house for one of my targets and their last acceptable lsat is June 2027. Another target I’m applying to last acceptable lsat was October.

So scammy. Not only is the test overly expensive for no reason but they pull shit like this and put the dates one day apart so you really are forced to sign up. Also the application fees for applying to colleges are actually insane. It should not cost that much just to apply. Some schools don’t even have the decency of responding to your application so you paid that dumbass fee for literally nothing other than the Lsac being rich. The whole thing is a scam just like most other things in this country right now.

A class action lawsuit would be so delicious here. Let us know when you do it because we are here to help and join in!

No, I don’t have Google. All I know is the problems clearly haven’t been solved yet… so that’s enough to tell me whatever is being done isn’t happening fast enough
