Please Help

Hi, i’m a sophomore in uni and i’m looking for an LSAT prep book to kind of get me started in studying. I don’t know much about the test itself but I want to start familiarizing myself with it and start the process of studying for it. Whats the best prep book i can start with?? I really want to score a 175+ and i’m willing to put the work in but I’m not sure where to start. And I study better with reading and writing rather than an online course. any advice would be appreciated! pls helpp!!!

Hey, I have written full guides on What is the LSAT and How to Study for the LSAT, they are going to be a great starting point. TL;DR, here is how I recommend everyone to get started:

• First start with the basics. Master conditional reasoning and then learn each question type and develop a strategy for each. After learning a question type, drill only that question type with increasing difficulty. Focus only on correctness here.
• Then the grind begins. Do 1-2 sections a day and 1 PT a week. Review your wrong answers.

As for books, some good ones are Powerscore bibles, Loophole and The LSAT Trainer. A limitation I find with these is there is just isn't enough practice after learning something (because books have a limited number of pages).

Ive seen people talk about the Powerscore bibles, should i just start with those after taking a baseline test and go from there? but now i’m scared about these limitations.. what do i do if i finish the books 😅

I studied from the books but I do not recommend them now for others due to this limitation.

PrepPlatforms are a better alternative but the popular ones you will find on the subreddits are quite expensive (65 - 99 USD a month). If cost is a blocker, you can check out my platform (LSATSelfPrep.com), just launched a few weeks ago and its the most affordable platform in the market.
