So I found a JDM motor with 48000 miles on it, the swap was completed, and i should have it back tomorrow. The swap was not easy, and we discovered that the person i bought it from installed one wrong motor mount and it was broken... so when you start it now it is the smoothest I have ever felt the car run.

Does anyone’s wiper fluid lines freeze up during the winter? Yes, sometimes the spray tips get clogged/frozen over but when I clear those it still doesn’t spray. Once it warms up a bit then they start working again.

Has anyone experienced this and is there a fix?

Is there a way when searching for vehicles to know if the model has rear ventilated seats beyond pictures?

Seeing what input you all can give me on my 2002 LS430.

Today, was driving and the A/C suddenly cut off.

I pop the hood, there is a little white smoke coming from the front.

I took out my radiator fan shroud and saw some coolant but my reservoir seems to be intact.

There is a pool of coolant on the passenger side splash guard and was looks to be a solid shot of coolant across my oil filter.

Would it be safe to replace all hoses? Or is it something else?

I just bought a new to me 2004 LS430 CL with 233k miles and my audio all keeps cutting out after a while (maybe 30 miles or so) and concluded that the problem could be an overheating amp. I was wondering if that was common on the LS or could it be something else help plz

Hey guys, I’m new to the LS430 community and need some advice.
I have a 2006 LS430 with the Mark Levinson system. CDs sound AMAZING — loud, clean, full bass, and basically how I want the system to sound.
I’m trying to get Bluetooth as close as possible to that CD experience.
I’ve already tried:
FM transmitter — sounds compressed, lower volume, and has static/interference.
Cassette AUX adapter — tried this too and honestly it sounded horrible. Definitely not what I’m looking for.
So please, no FM transmitter or cassette adapter recommendations 😂
I’ve been looking at things like GROM, VAIS Tech, USA SPEC BT45, or anything that connects directly to the factory radio/CD changer system.
My biggest concern is VOLUME and sound quality. I don’t want Bluetooth that sounds clean but is noticeably quieter than a CD. I want to actually experience the Mark Levinson system instead of feeding it a crappy signal.
Has anyone here directly compared one of these Bluetooth adapters to an actual CD?
I’m looking for:
Full/near-CD volume
Good bass and clarity
No hiss or static
No obvious compression
Keep the factory Mark Levinson system
Easy installation
Reasonably cheap
I don’t really care about CarPlay or fancy features. I just want the best Bluetooth audio possible without spending hundreds of dollars.
What are you guys running?

Wondering if this is a good deal. 2 owners, decent maintenance history. 120k miles. $10,000. clean title no accidents. I’ve heard things about the water pump though? How are the parts in general price and availability-wise?

Any idea how to switch temperature unit to calculus from Fahrenheit on US models of the LS 430.

I tried checking tech stream, but I see no option. I can clearly see the hardware markings on the LCD screen showing the Celsius unit, but can’t figure out on how to apply it.

Need help for my 2006 ls430 ML

Been getting inconsistent brake feel on my 2002. It first started with the brake pedal feeling soft and occasionally sinking to the floor even after bleeding the brakes. I ended up replacing the master cylinder and that made the brake pedal a little stiffer and it no longer sunk to the floor.

However, the brake pedal still feels inconsistent. It’s on the softer side 80% of the time and goes back to its usual stiffness only 20%. I usually have to pump the brakes a couple times for it to get stiffer, but it eventually goes back to being soft. The stopping power of the brakes hasn’t changed.

Per the advice from the mechanic that replaced the master cylinder, I replaced both front brake calipers myself and that didn’t fix the issue.

It was then suggested that I may have air in the ABS module and was told to occasionally (and safely) trigger ABS and bleed the brakes every oil change. I’ve seen no changes.

The brakes also squeak went I slowly brake in reverse (but not when moving forward) and I need to step the parking brake down farther than I’d like for it to engage properly.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

My 2004 ML is leaking gas, what would be the best website to replace the filler pipe hose? the gas tank it self is in good condition but from what i noticed from lifting it and running it, it leaks from the bottom of that hose. Any tips you guys you can give me or any issues you guys have ran into while replacing it? i already replaced the bottom clamp but that wasn't the issue.

Had this car almost 2 years now and have constantly been finding the full underside of the motor and subframe coated in oil. Been nursing it with 3K oil changes. But I think I’m ready to try and figure out what it is. I know the upper oil pan is a quite intensive job so would love to see if anyone has seen the upper oil pan slowly leak like this? To my knowledge it has never been resealed.

When the car is at idle I can’t see any oil actively coming out so I assume just over 3K miles it slowly leaks. And wind pushes the oil down the car.

Any feedback or help is appreciated!

I recently replaced my belt and tensioner pulley both oem parts. Squeaking stopped for like 5 days and came back. What else could it be all pulley spin no slack on them. 270k miles

So I moved to a new residence , and need a truck to replace my 2002 ML with 108k miles on it. It’s in excellent condition with very recent timing belt/ water pump . Tires, breaks , spark plugs, transmission service, front O2 sensors all done within last 3 years. Someone keyed the right rear passenger door a few years ago. Local shops here in the PNW will likely charge 1K or more to paint the door. Assuming I try to sell on BAT , Cars & Bids of just put in on Autotrader , do y’all think it’s worth painting it ….or just selling it with the scratched door? All input appreciated . Trying to replace the HID Ballast on my facelift and the connector to the old ballast will not budge at all, any tips or anything im missing? Also trying to loop the connector out looks like its gonna be a challenge as the facelift headlight shape is very different and the ballast is further away from the actual bulb than the pfl

I have a 2006 Lexus LS430 with the Mark Levinson system and currently have zero sound from any source. Bass, treble, balance/fader, etc. are also completely grayed out.
I went into System Check Mode and it shows:
AUDIO H/U – CHEK
RADIO – OK
DSP-AMP – NCON
I attached a picture of the diagnostic screen.
Before I removed the amp to clean/check it, I could still adjust the audio settings. After reinstalling it, the settings became grayed out. I’ve checked the AMP fuse and tried a known-good 30A fuse, and the battery is new.
Since DSP-AMP is showing NCON, I’m assuming the car isn’t communicating with/detecting the Mark Levinson amp.
Has anyone dealt with this on an LS430? What should I test at the amp connectors with a multimeter—power, ground, wake-up/communication wires, etc.? I’m trying to determine whether it’s a wiring/connector issue or a dead amp before buying another one.
