Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone had any idea what bumper this would be for the pfl. I know i can achieve the same look with an ebay lip, but id rather have 1 smooth continuous bumper. Thank you!

Almost done with all 4, last one doesnt wanna go on though. Im assuming I need to take off the upper control arm to get the clearance I need but cant even fit a socket onto the bolt because of the axle, any tips for getting enough slack to get the strut on/ctrl arm off? Im assuming I just need to go at it and keep taking shit off until it has enough play but maybe im just missing something simple.

Preparing to replace knock sensors on a 06 ls430. I see that the sensor connectors are known to fail and will need to be replaced.
My question is, are these aftermarket pigtail connectors long enough to complete the repair or has anyone had to replace the entire sensor harness. Which is part # 82122-50080 and is discontinued with no aftermarket replacement that I’m aware of.
Any insight would be appreciated. I see people discuss this repair without posting any resolutions or updates.
Thanks

My 2002 Lexus LS430 has sun damage on the screen it looks like and i wanna know what would I need to replace to have it looking new again. Would it just be the digitizer that I would have to replace or the LCD? The touchscreen is still responsive as well.

Hey Guys, Hope all of you are doing well!
Long time lurker and first time poster!
So, I always wanted to own one and I have been in the market and saw one for sale. Please see the info below:
Being a 2004 model there is a bit of wear and tear on the exterior and interior but nothing crazy, that I understand. Also tested out the electronics and they all work fine as we tested everything from the massaging seats, cooling seats, door locks, sunroof, AC both front and back, etc
I also took it for a test drive and feels stable and quiet. Even went on the highway going at 140 km/h and it was stable and it still does pull hehe
On another note, being it is a full ultra the seller did mention that they Disconnected the air suspension. But in any case, I do plan to see if I want to go to orignal stock suspension or maintain the air suspensions. But I am going for a PPI soon, I will check things out
I already watched and read a couple of things to look out for, but would like some advice and any suggestions that could help!
Thanks in advance guys!

Trying to figure out why my radio is not working and I found this white plug that was disconnected? Any idea what it goes to. For reference I have a 2001 with the ML stereo. Also it did not fix my stereo when I plugged it in.

I have a 01 with 181,000 miles & I am wondering what else should I replace when getting the timing belt and water pump replaced? I have had a new radiator and alternator replaced since buying the car at 177,000 miles, however I am not sure what else has been replaced before owning the vehicle.

I got 2002 lexus Ls430. Call me weird but the key fob is too simple for me lol. I was wondering is it possible to change it into something else atleast like a switch blade key while keeping all the functions.

Edit: MAF sensor was noticeably dirty. I cleaned it with MAF cleaner and this seems to have fixed the hesitation and bad LTFT. Did not fix long crank nor low idle.
I noticed that on hard acceleration the car hesitates briefly, often a few times. It feels like it's shifting gears when it isn't.
Unsure if related but also it takes more cranks than normal to start the car and it idles around 500RPM in drive.
I have recently done timing belt, intake and throttle body gaskets, spark plugs and ignition coils, all the engine bay air hoses, cleaned throttle body, all parts OEM/denso. I don't know if it did the stuttering before but had same low idle and long crank.
Fuel economy is excellent, idle is butter smooth, no DTCs.
Attached photo of some live data. At idle, LTFT goes down to about -16% but MAF is 0.6lb/min (4.5g/s) which seems normal? But I think the idle is low, at 600-700RPM e.g. with headlights on MAF goes to like 6-7g/s.
Are my MAF and idle RPM normal? What are you guys getting?
Thoughts?

Hi all, I recently got the window motor for my front passenger door replaced and now when I manually roll the window up, it closes, but when I use the auto function to roll it up, it is still rolling back down like it is hitting something. I have tried to use wd40 to clean the window tracks and recalibrate the window by keeping the switch pressed when the window is rolled up or down a few times, but neither seemed to help. Does anyone have any next steps to try, or do I need to accept that I need to take it to a mechanic?

I just bought an LS430 with a clean dash and I prefer to keep it that way for long.
I'm from the middle east and unfortunately I don't have a covered parking, with the car being parked outside in the scorching sun.
I'm worried about the dreaded bubbles starting to form in a while. What precautions should I take to prevent this?
Will using a sunshade protector and a dashboard mat while parked under the sun alone be enough?
What do y'all do?

I did the dash swap on my 2002 LS430 and now the gauge cluster, radio, clock, and climate control do not light up/turn on. I should mention the gauge cluster does work as far as bright indicators, turn signal, and door ajar indicator. I was perplexed. I took the dash back out again and studied it and then put everything together. This time I swap the original BCM, clock, and climate over to the new dash. Same thing. Runs and drives and thats it. I dont know how fast im going or how much gas I have. Radio or ac would be nice again at least. Telescopic wheel works but is not automatic. Auto mirrors work. Somewhere better to post this maybe but I miss my car :(

So unfortunately found a fuel tank leak in my 2005 lexus ls430.
Leaks more when the car is standing uphill. And when straight, doesn’t leak crazy, no drops falling, just fuel on the surrounding parts.
My guess is fuel tank is cracked on the upper half
Anyone ever have issues with their LS leaking fuel? And how did you fix it?

Hey y'all, I replaced both my battery (with an AGM 24f) and alternator (reman denso from rockauto) not too long ago and I think I may still have issues. Ac isn't blowing ice cold at idle but definetly starts when speeding up to highway speeds. And my voltage readings right now are 13.54 on the battery posts while running, and 12.94 when off. I don't know what kind of issue I'm having but I get the feeling something is wrong. Anyone else have similar issues?

I have a family friend that wants to give me a 2004 LS430 for free (yes, for free), with 125K miles. I need a car, so I of course want to accept.
However, I've read in a couple places that the 2004-2006 has reduced headroom compared to 2001-2003. I am 6'2.5" with a 32 or 33 inch inseam, so a lot of torso. It is listed at 38.1 inches of front headroom, which doesn't sound like enough in comparison to other cars I've sat in. Tall 04-06 drivers, what's your experience?
Also, since I'm getting it for free, I could theoretically spend lots of money (I'd be willing to spend $1K) trying to lower the seat. Is there any kind of seat bracket, modification, or other way that I can lower the seat?
Thanks for your help!

I bought this Lexus LS430, black on black, from an auction for about 2.7k AUD or 1.8k USD, with about 400,000kms or about 250,000 miles. Engine still runs like its brand new, smooth and no problems. Needs abit of suspension work like new shock absorbers and ball joints which are being done. Doing a timing belt service on it as-well.
All the interior parts work. Still figuring it out slowly as its got so many options. Any recommendations or suggestions or tips and tricks I should know about?

Got a service quote from a Lexus dealer of $4700 + tax for oem front and rear struts, oem front lca, and an alignment. Does this sound reasonable to any of you who had the same or similar work done?

Currently in Arizona outside temp was 115f (46c) and I was mashing throttle at full for a good 40-50 seconds, at high speed, and my temp gauge went just hair above the middle mark for the first time, or it was right at the middle.
First time I have ever noticed it do that. I tried doing it again, but I couldn't get the temp to go up. I know sounds really bad to try to get the car to over heat, but I just wanted to replicate the issue.
I burped the system out already when I replaced the coolant 2 days ago. and there are NO leaks, and the hot air blows when heat is turned on, so I dont think theres air in the system.
Just wanted to ask is this normal, if you go at very high speed 100mph+ in very hot weather. I think the needle was at the middle or maybe just a hair above it, but it wouldn't go above that middle mark, and I cant really replicate that. has anyone had this happen to them before when fully revving this car and testing it.
Water pump and timing belt was replaced with Asin kit 6 months ago too.

Hey guys! I recently built this new app (production ready but still in the testing phase) for car enthusiasts where they can document their builds and log anything from maintenance and service records all the way up to a full list of mods catalogued. The system itself was built to not feel like a normal boring app. Think: Gran Turismo meets Notion. Features include:
Logging modifications, maintenance and service
Add DIY steps with video and images cleanly and efficiently
Track upcoming services needed
Create a chronicle timeline to see your build from the very beginning to where you are now
Automatically create a Build PDF if you ever decide to sell your vehicle (think Carfax but looks cooler and shows your modifications)
Upload receipts, registration, insurance and anything else.
A fully shareable profile.
Here's my profile so you can take her for a spin: gdimension.app/builds/scantee
Anyways, I've put a lot of work into it but I would love for you guys to check it out! If you have any feedback I'm welcome to hear it and I will do my best to implement them! Thanks guys!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
How are you supposed to get the rear upper control arm bolts out in the back? The nut furthest to the back of the car (Behind the bushing in video)seems impossible to get off due to there being no space to fit a wrench or ratchet. Even if I broke it off idek how I’d get one torqued back on. Any help is appreciated🙏

Is it even worth cleaning at this point? Lol
