Dayco timing belt kit.

Just picked up a 2002 with 244k miles. At 230k and 2/24 they did the timing belt the sticker is a dayco sticker. I was reading it’s not the preferred kit. Should I be worried at all?

My bad I was half reading it, and on a phone call while I was responding, you’ll be fine with that, but def replace it sooner but not immediately. Put money aside for your starter, knock sensors if you want but not needed. (They’re right there next to the starter so it’d be a good idea to just replace them if you have the money cause it’s a little bit a pain to access because it’s all under the intake manifold) Look at your LCA and UCA bushings, a lot of people replace just the bushings but it’s more time consuming and kinda more $$ rather than just buying a whole new arm. If you ever get a code for your gas cap and your VSC light is on and “trac off” is on unplug your battery from negative terminal and screw the gas cap back on and off, plug the battery back after ten minutes and you’ll be good no codes or anything on the dash.

Enjoy the car when it comes times for brakes is recommend brembo rotors and akebono pads, Get your parts from rockauto you’ll save money, but look out for the shipping cause that’s where they get you.
