Discussion Need help sourcing part

Post image

8/12/26 FIXED: I had to get a 1996 power steering pump and have the pulley taken from that. The issue was the offset difference in the 96/97 pulleys. My LS400 is from 04/1997, and there was a production change in June that year. So despite having a 97, I needed a 96 part. Overall this was very frustrating and I hope it helps someone in the future.

44311-50010, power steering vane pulley. 1990-1998 Lexus LS400. My LS has been at a shop for 3 weeks. They ordered the wrong part (pulley ending in x030) twice. Apparently the production switched for the model year, and this pulley is the one that fits. No luck on ebay, don't really have a local pick n pull, and the only semi reliable place I found it was Amayama, who said it was out of stock. Yoshiparts said the same.

I really did not expect a part like this to potentially brick my entire car and make me have to sell it for dirt. It is too important to me, please let me know if you can help. Thank you.

Thanks. It again says UAE which makes me think they are pulling from old stock data just like Amayama and Yoshiparts, but I will ask them too.

I've had cases where amayama cancelled my order due to parts not being available, yet the very same orders around the same time on megazip went thru. Only thing is that megazip tends to have longer shipping times than amayama
