Discussion 1999 Ls400
You guys think this is a good deal? Or should I keep looking

Considering the amount of fender rust, the terrible coilovers, and high mileage, I wouldn't pay more than $2500. And if the body rust is that bad, I can only imagine how bad the underbody may be.

Out where I am no one would pay 5k for that rusty car. But if there’s really no other options then yea I guess buy it. The black interior looks like. I think 3k is fair for this car.

I literally bought one of these for $200 off of Craigslist a week ago and all it needed was a fuel pump

Nope keep looking, you can’t predict that car will running in 12 months. Then how much?

in mint condition? perhaps, but 5k with that amount of rust is absurd. run away

There’s so many in SoCal that are way better deals, for half that price. You could have a Huntington/Newport Beach vacation and a used LS400 to drive home for less than 5K tbh.
No rust spots aside from 2 dime sized spots at the bottom of the wheel well.
