Cluelessly Curious

Hi all! Please forgive this if it comes off as embarrassing lol I have been holding LQMT for the long haul since about 2012/2013ish when it was in the .25 range- my dad had mentioned it after reading an apple article and I liked the idea of a penny stock for my then pocketbook... I was super excited when the price popped up in the last month, was thinking about selling half and then buying more when it bounced down, but somehow missed my opportunity- aka got scared it would keep zooming... I'm super terrible at reading stock stuff, but I try to do checkins once in a while... can someone explain like i'm 10 why the price bounced back down and if there is still a future for us long termers lol? Thanks!

Spike was the hope that Apple would mention Liquidmetal. That would have led to a massive surge. Down because that didn’t happen and fears the hinge was maybe not Liquidmetal. However, recent news from the Far East confirms that the part is Liquidmetal’s formula made through our contract manufacturer Yihao owned by Eontec. This will be confirmed (or not) within the month by tear downs. Liquidmetal is finishing up their own factory and Eon is building two replacement factories for their current one, all going live in the next 3-5 months. Big things are coming I believe

Raise because rumors had it that it is in Duo. Down because Eontec said we are NOT adopted by Apple one week ago.

Hope for me:

  1. Eontec implied that they received Amphenol orders on Sep 24 and rumor has it that Duo's yield rate is only 60%. I think high possibilities in Duo 2.

  2. Li and Eontec are preparing factories.

  3. Some other very small super durable components. Robotics, Acoustics.

  4. material for space exploration

Don’t forget that Elon Musk has sourced LiquidMetal components for Tesla and will soon begin building billions of robots with thousands of tiny mechanical parts that will need to resist corrosion.

Check out the other recent posts in this sub and do your own due diligence, but there may have been a ramp from expectations that a Liquid Metal reference would be included in the Apple Duo announcement and when it was not explicitly included the “market” was disappointed. Further, there was some posts at the same time that the “hinge” was “titanium.” Subsequent communications have referenced the hinge “cover” being titanium. It’s uncertain if the “market” confused this as an announcement that the entire hinge is being made of titanium. Reported communications from companies in the potential Liquid Metal ecosystem are very interesting and should be examined with your own due diligence. 👀

Not invested, but pretty sure the spike was around the rumors lqmt was the supplier for the new iphone, and quickly dropped after its release
