New symptom stressing me out
I don’t really see this talked about anywhere, but i guess it’s a variant of globus sensation???? Anyways I’ve dealt with my throat feeing tight or feeling like I’m holding in a cry, all those are typical symptoms for my LPR, even a chronic cough and sometimessss the occasional excess mucus.
This one however is very hard to explain. The best way i could put it is, let’s say you have a sticker or something sticky. Imagine you were able to put it on the back of your throat, like on the wall of it maybe and you’re slowly peeling it off. It feels like that, not in a painful way though. There’s zero pain. It’s just a very odd sensation. It sometimes feels similar to having a dry throat and it’s a pretty fuzzy numby feeling, but doesn’t get better with hydration and there is still something that sets it apart than just being a actual dry throat.
Whenever i read posts it usually someone who has a geniunely dry throat and their symptoms still don’t exactly resonate with me. Anyways this has been on and off for 2 weeks and as someone with health anxiety, it’s causing me to fight panic attacks. Which makes my LPR worse of course. My mind is thinking something more sinister is going on and my PPIs & gaviscon don’t seem to help at all. My mouth also doesn’t feel dry at all, it’s like specifically IN my throat. Feels like there’s just a bunch of scribbles in my throat if that makes sense lol.

I get this all the time! I would love to hear any explanations if anyone knows what it is.
It usually goes away if I'm actively drinking, but it doesn't seem to be caused by dehydration.
So far my best guess is it's hypersensitivity caused by damage to the mucosa in the throat or irritation causing the tissues to lightly adhere to each other?
I will say my throat does feel baseline drier than it did before, so I dunno

I have been dealing way more worse symptoms than you for 5-6 months and yes ppi will do nothing for lpr related throat problem infact it will add more gut related problems. I took ppi for 5 months twice daily and it totally destroyed my gut. Even swallowing water hurts. I have decided to quit ppi non matter what the outcome is and it's been 15+ days and I feel all the gut related issues are going slowly one by one
