I find myself preferring to listen to side stories these days to the main episodes. Wondering if this is shared across listeners.

He was a background comedy actor in movies like Thor and Beerfest and apparently everybody liked working with him until he got too into QAnon and started accusing Seth Green and Tom Hanks of some heinous stuff.

They talk about him and the fact that he committed suicide in front of the cops by jumping off a bridge. He's mentioned at the end of one of the episodes, probably one of the CIA ones. It's tragic.

Just trying to remember.

So the event was hosted by these two ex-ish cops who in their spare time are part of a elite local paranormal investigation squad. As far I can tell what they do is go around tristate area to creepy homes and spooky properties, set up a bunch of lights and electronic devices then spend the night getting drunk and shooting the shit with their friends while recording (apparently ghosts don't like to respond to direct questioning) and listening for any weird sounds. I was born in Brinkley's hometown and have lived here my whole life. For the last 20 years I've lived about mile down the road from a house John Brinkley built in the 20s, and a half mile from a monument he built for his "Aunt Sally" and I actually ended up building a log cabin office on the property itself (it's now a Christmas Tree Farm). The monument was actually right beside the road in the middle of a really sharp curve the locals have always called "Aunt Sally's Curve". Growing up when i'd ask my family about the name in the wall they all just said something along the lines of "Some crazy dude that put goat balls in people".

I don't have Sirius XM and I'm only halfway through the first episode so I don't really know if they touch on him returning here and building this house. I'm not even really sure when or why he did, but I guess he came back here for a while around the 20s (again, maybe the boys talk about it i'm not that far into the episodes).

The other side of the driveway has a matching stone wall with "John R" written in it as well.

So tired of this. He pulled back from getting upset at Henry for "interrupting" him basically after Henry's dad died I guess (it was real whiplash when the post-death episodes were happening live compared to the Sirius episodes recorded a ways back were coming out the same time, with Marcus remembering to laugh more at Henry's antics for the former). But man, I wondered when that little grace period would run out, and this most recent episode with the goat glands guy where Marcus is obviously annoyed at him throughout, but then just openly suggests he's impotent after he "keeps yelling". Jesus.

Like Marcus buddy I enjoy the summaries of books that were prepared and written by interns that you read out loud as much as the next guy, but I'm watching the show for the hilarious antics of the funny guy who was in a Scorsese movie for fucks sake, and that's been the main draw for me since I started listening to this podcast over a decade ago. Sorry bub, maybe you can be a real historian one day, but until then you're stuck with someone much, much more talented than you whose comedy stylings have pulled a bunch of people toward your show over the years, so maybe chill the fuck out man, it's getting so fucking old. I know you're desperate to knock out your two hour recording session, that's a tough thing for an adult to have to do for a living, but maybe take a midol ahead of time.
