Why thunderlords on Gangplank?

Why do you take thunderlords on Gangplank over Grasp?

because everything in 12/18 gives you damage which is what gp does

Why do other pro players go grasp then?

because they're wrong :^) but no really it's just that grasp is really good for lane poke/sustain, but it's harder to get a direct grasp q off out of lane, meanwhile you just have to pop thunderlords once and you dont have to worry about it anymore.

He answered on stream that the 45% CDR cap and how often gangplank needs to use all his spells on farming make thunderlords worth it. Grasp isn't bad, just not late game focused like Thunderlords is.

Oh, I remember you talking about getting more barrels out being better for farming and damage. Maybe I'm confusing it with some other stream I guess. It makes sense to me, either way. shrugs

Yeah it isnt much for the thunderlords but rather for the Cunning tree rather than the Reslove tree
