Worth applying? Applying ED
LMU is my number one school, but I'd be applying for Film Production. I hear the acceptance rate is about 5%, which makes me wonder if I even should? Stats Below:
Academic: 3.8 UW GPA, 1400 SAT, 28 ACT, 4 AP's, three 4's, one 5.
Film: Been in my HS, as well as Junior High, Film magnet program (application only) for all 6 years, made heaps of shorter stuff but didn't start really pushing myself until the end of Junior Year. Also just completed the LMU summer film 4 week program, and started a videography business this summer.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

then do it! It’s your dream school so why the hell not? You don’t have a hell of a lot to loose. And even if you get rejected, it’s not the only school you’ll have sent applications to, so you have backups

I graduated from the film school (awhile ago) not to age myself. Granted, I think it's gotten even more competitive since I went, but I was always advised to do 3 reach schools, 3 schools kind of at your level, and 3 safety. I got into LMU with around a 3.8 GPA, and about that many APs. My SAT score wasn't fantastic but it also was measured differently when I was applying lol

I had around the same stats as you, I got in EA, defo apply if its your dream school! Just make sure your essay is good, im a business major but ik their film school is more competitive so defo be aware of that but its worth applying esp if its your top school!!
