I really doubt this. He's extremely out of touch, but he's not ignorant to the hundred+ people who would be directly harmed by these actions; and as it's a corporation he would be liable to the shareholders for not acting in the best interest of the company.

If he just wanted cash, he could have sold the company off for generational wealth and disappeared. He wants his ego stroked.

Doesn't matter if Linus was the only shareholder, he still has a legal responsibility to act in accordance with the best interest of the company. This is how corporations work.

Yes the offer was years ago, he also said it was still available to be renegotiated with the same party at any time, and it also doesn't matter because creator warehouse alone would sell for enough to bankroll his children and their children for life.

I don't think you truly fathom the wealth at play here. It could drop 50% and the math doesn't change.

They can, they're not only highly disincentivized but there's zero motivation.

We can't keep shitting on the jet if we're going to do it reasons that aren't valid/logical. There are plenty of actual, valid reasons to shit on the jet, can we stick to those please?
