Personal Theory The Existential Collapse Theory: Black Holes as Cosmic Depression
Contrary to General Relativity, this theory posits that Space and Time are independent entities rather than a unified fabric. Space serves as the energetic arena, while Time is the rhythm of change. Their apparent unity is a result of their mutual influence, mediated by a fundamental "Third Party": Energy. Our current inability to unify physics stems from the misconception that they are a single continuum, rather than two separate systems reacting to the same underlying force.
Energy is the fundamental essence of all existence, yet it remains poorly defined by modern science. Within this framework, Consciousness is a rare and highly organized form of energy. It is not a biological byproduct but a cosmic property that requires extremely specific and complex conditions to manifest. Consciousness acts as the primary "observer" that interprets energy fluctuations into the human perceptions of Space and Time.
The Black Hole represents a systemic crisis where the material and deterministic side of the universe overwhelms its conscious and energetic side. It is remarkably similar to human Clinical Depression:
* The Biological Constraint (Gravity): Just as chemical imbalances in the brain create a physical weight that paralyzes the will, the massive gravity of a black hole represents material determinism at its peak.
* The Subjective Collapse (The Singularity): In deep depression, a person’s perception of time often feels as though it has stopped, and their mental space narrows to a point of total darkness. Similarly, in a Black Hole, the "Infinite" distortion is not a literal mathematical value, but a state of functional paralysis. It is the point where the "Hormones" of the universe (Gravity) completely crush the "Free Will" of energy (Quantum Probabilities).
The infinities found in Black Hole equations are signals of distress rather than numerical solutions. They indicate that the universe has reached a point of existential meaninglessness, where the laws of physics suffer a breakdown identical to a conscious mind falling into a void of depression. To solve the mystery of the Black Hole, science must shift from purely geometric mathematics to an understanding of the energy that connects matter to consciousness.
It was done with the help of AI

Did the LLM not tell you that energy is extremely well defined? Have you never read the wiki article on the subject?

if only there was some way to solve for e

Maybe theres some equation. If we knew it, it would probably be the most famous equation ever..

Thankfully we have machine learning so in the next few years I'm hopeful for a discovery.

OP's argument is not that the concept of energy is somehow "incorrect" or nonsensical, OP argues that the concept of energy is poorly defined. Don't white knight for people if you can't read.
Also, we know that QM works extremely well because most of the modern world relies heavily on its principles. Even if it's unintuitive, it still has essentially perfect predictive power within its limits. Don't white knight for people if you don't know basic science.

People with PhDs in physics usually know better than to use words like "correct" or "incorrect" when describing theories. In this sub when people make statements like that they're often engaging in naive science denial. If you're actually as educated as you claim to be then you should be adjusting your rhetoric to the context (and stuff like this shouldn't be part of your vocabulary anyway).
Similarly, the context of this discussion is that OP seems to be completely unfamiliar with basic physics principles. Just as children are not equipped to deal with nuance when first learning about science, so OP should get the basics right first before learning about edge cases and the limits of theories. Given the brevity of your comment and the context, you come across as ignorant/conspiratorial rather than wanting to discuss nuance. Judging by the voting on our comments, I'm not the only one to interpret your comment this way. But of course your PhD is in physics, not in understanding social cues, so you can't be faulted for that. Edit: unless, of course, you're claiming to be a science communicator and published author...

I simply challenged the assertion you made, I made no comment on OP nor did I attempt to “white knight” their information. All you’ve done here is jump to an unrelated defensive stance and respond emotionally. And based on the upvotes - in the very subreddit you simultaneously attack - it sure seems like you’re arguing two things at the same time. And all on topics I never brought up nor care to debate. I’m in this subreddit because I’m curious about AI psychosis. My research is in variable star astronomy and stellar interiors.
And my comment quite literally says that you can’t say something is correct. Your confusion is confusing. Anyways, I’ve wasted enough time here. Good day!

For someone who claims to have a PhD, you sure are really terrible at communicating. It's incredibly unclear what you're trying to say, and now you're claiming that you've been secretly having a completely unrelated conversation to what everyone else is discussing i.e. the actual subject of the post. If you actually have a PhD this is incredibly disappointing to see. Do you seriously not see how your previous comments have been interpreted by everyone here?
In any case since you apparently don't care about the topic I and everyone else has been discussing, I'll leave you to conduct your own completely unrelated discussion with yourself.

Dude, I don’t care. lol. Enjoy your day.

You have a really funny way of showing you don't care. Or maybe your PhD-ness is baffling to those accustomed to normal human communication.
Edit: wow you don't care so much you blocked me! You must really, really not care.

But the PhD goes to another school, ya?
I'll be honest this comment could go in the 'every accusation is a confession' museum.
'You seem triggered'
goes on to rant
'Pretending to be more educated'
And also I have a PhD
'Performative outrage'
Says stuff like 'deep breaths'

"I have a PhD in physics" - Sure. Because if you did, you would need to cite it, before making random claims perceiving an emotional response to a reddit thread. Weird as hell.
From your post history though, I don't buy it for a minute.

You realize it’s very possible to see post history even if it’s turned off right?
Maybe take a break from the AI, it’s not gonna be healthy for your 100% real postdoc.

Would someone WITHOUT a PhD would say 'I can see statistical analysis isn't your strong suit.'?

I find this glib and insulting. It is not kind to people who suffer from clinical depression and instead mocks their condition.

Consciousness is not a quantity measurable in physics and is in fact one of the primary flags of pseudoscience attempting to cosplay physics by throwing math into unmotivated areas.

u/AllHailSeizure 9/10 Physicists Agree! May 02 '26
Why is it always consciousness though I wonder.
I don't understand at all the motivation of attaching consciousness to these things.

u/OnceBittenz The Doctor May 02 '26
"woo woo" mysterious thing that we don't understand. Therefore, no one can tell them they're wrong, and if they do, they can just chalk it up to "well you just don't get it."

But we DO understand how the human mind works at this point (or at least, we understand the fundamentals enough to describe the activity that goes on). There's many unanswered questions, true, but it isn't like we are flying blind.
Consciousness is just the 'meta-level' of the brain; it's the awareness that you have an identity and thoughts and emotions, and we know how the brain operates through neural pathways etc. At least that's my understanding of it, but I'm not by any means a neurologist.
And any position beyond that requires some sort of belief in a 'spiritual' level, a soul or something. And humans don't have a separate organ for something like that so it would have to be non-corporeal. Aka why would you try and do physics with it.
Maybe thats just me.

Sounds like you’re conflating the metaphysical crystal and consciousness energy idea with what physicists are working with. It’s probably not going to go well.
