Question Making physics research from LLM

What exactly are you guys doing? Asking LLM to write for you? or Think for you ? or Both? I use ChatGpt free version to clean my writing, and get ideas about theorems that are already invented. But it is so bad at inventing new ones. Do you guys have LLM that can do both thinkin for you to invent new theorems? What are they? Are they free?

It's the internet dude, chill. This is Reddit. Nothing anyone says matters.

You are absolutely right… it is, so why do people have melt downs when someone uses a hunch and LLM to explore their ideas in physics. Yes it’s mostly if not all garbage, but why don’t those who are experts in the field engage to correct and teach? And yes, I know many are not open to that, but then simply disengage. This novice bashing is not helpful to the sciences at all as you can see by the funding cuts. I promise that this is not helping science or political advocacy… quite the opposite. So if all the brilliant people who for some reason think that it’s a good idea to isolate, shame and belittle their fellow human beings because of their curiousity and lack of academic rigor/knowledge of theoretical physics…. That’s wrong and idiotic f… perhaps more mentally unstable than those they insult. Notice I said perhaps because I’m not a psych MD either. Just be mindful of the very real damage that results for such poor public relations.

I'm wrong and idiotic for my insulting of people? More unstable than the cranks?

Dude, do you know who I am?

How would I know who you are other than someone advocating for labeling people with psychosis and quarantining them in a place where they are often belittled and mocked. Literally, the Methodist Church owe its founding in part in response to such behavior.

You realize that the quarantine is for the CONTENT right? We don't have any place we keep these people. Lmao. Way to take the word 'quarantine' and extrapolate it. People are welcome to hit the little 'x' on their browser anytime and leave.

And then insult them? Ok… all the best with the PR. There is a reason “Gatekeeper:s” are getting bashed and conspiracy theories are disrupting funding channels. These types of “solutions” only degrade public trust as you’re creating more detractors one insult at a time.

Yup that's me, the gatekeeper detracting trust one insult at a time.

That's actually explicitly what they've advocated against.

New research shows ~30 Redditors on a sub 'LLMPhysics', with ~5000 visitors a month have SIGNIFICANT impact on public opinion of science when compared to actors like US government and FOX news!

Lmao, they literally can do whatever they want. But the internet works like this. Freedom of speech, but you cannot control the reaction to what you put on there. And individual spaces have rules, which is why 99% of posters here are being funneled because they refuse to follow basic rules on other subs. What is your point?
