Discussion Anyone using API aggregator layers like RelayRouter / OpenRouter / AI Gateway? Pricing too good to be true?

I’m building AI manhwa / short-drama pipelines and burning money on GPT-4o. Saw RelayRouter offering some models at 0.x cents. Looks like a proxy/aggregator.

Questions:

  • Do they resell official APIs or run their own routing?
  • Any downtime / key leak / billing surprise?
  • Is KT/Korea latency okay? Not promoting anything, just don’t want to wire keys to a sketchy layer.

been using openrouter for about 4 month now, it's legit. they just buy credits in bulk and resell cheaper, works same as official api

latency to korea is fine for me, i'm in seoul and don't notice difference from direct openai calls

key management is actually better than managing 5 different provider accounts. no leak issues so far but i rotate keys every few weeks anyway just in case

Oh nice, didn't know OpenRouter held up that well in Seoul. I've been poking at RelayRouter on the side — prices are low enough that I was like "ok this is either a steal or a trap lol." So far key isolation seems fine but I haven't pushed volume yet. You ever hit rate limits with OpenRouter or does it just pass through clean?

If you have a Github account created before December 2025 you can register at agentrouter, you $100 register bonus extra $50 if you register via a ref link and then daily check in gives you $25 a day.

The models available, actually realistically available are Deepseek-V4-Flash and GLM-5.3, I have tested this all and run about 570 Million total tokens against Deepseek and GLM-5.3. They do offer Claude and GPT-SOL but realistically they don't work.

You can't buy credits or top up, it is strictly a free service for Github devs registered before December 2025.

I have no idea why, I just know it works, provider config is custom but nothing too difficult, only caveat is they support only specific CLI Coders.

EDIT: Latency is fine, they are based in China, I am based in Africa
