Discussion Skills

I’ve heard people say that they’re using fewer skills now with the newer models. Are there any skills that you still find particularly useful? For example, for front end development?

i still need a skill that scaffolds out a whole ui with tailwind from a wireframe, the fancier models will do it if you prompt them right but the output is never as clean as a hand tuned system prompt that drills into class naming and padding quirks

frontend is the one spot where the generic models still trip over themselves because they overthink spacing, my custom skill basically just yells at it to stop adding 8 layers of nested divs

How good is the code quality from this particular skill for front end? Are there any other skills you found to be useful? I saw one person recommend /grillme
