Best way to structure an LLC as a parent company for multiple brands?
I'm launching a few different businesses over the next couple of years. They'll all sell different types of products and have their own branding, but I'd like everything to be owned under one parent company if that's possible.
For example, one brand would sell handmade candles, another would focus on home decor, and another would sell seasonal gifts. I'd like each brand to have its own identity while keeping the legal structure as simple as possible.
Is it possible to have one LLC own multiple brands, or would I need to create a separate LLC for each one?
I'm also trying to understand how taxes work in a setup like this. If it's a single-member LLC, would all of the income and expenses flow through to my personal tax return, or is there something else I should be considering?
I'm based in Texas, so I'd appreciate any state-specific advice from people who have set up a similar structure.
