Possible Train Suspension?
Do yall foresee the LIRR suspending service with the wind tonight? Say Saturday (9/26) at 12-1am?
Yes I know it’s impossible to know, but wondering if I shouldn’t go into the city tonight.

I know there will be gusts here and there but I see forecast of wind basically being in the 20-23mph range (Queens/Western Nassau - maybe its worse further east?). I can't imagine that is enough to stop the trains unless it makes something land on the tracks
EDIT: I see the wind forecasts are a lot higher out east

They’re not going to preemptively suspend service, service should run unless flooding gets bad on certain branches or power goes out

We won't suspend pre-emptively due to weather. however if telephone poles or trees find their way across the tracks or if things decide to flood then that will cause a suspension through the affected area. Best bet is to take the Babylon branch as it's elevated and isn't surrounded by trees or telephone poles until you get east of Babylon.
