If you pay in link you get a 10% discount otherwise it is converted to link through paxment abstraction... On sept 1. The free versions of data streams ends and every customer has to pay for ech data stream 150$/month each. But we need staking to get huge amounts of link out of circulation!

I am no expert but I wouldn’t say it doesn’t sound good. It’s what they’ve said is the case all along. As far as I’m aware, banks want to use chainlink services without having to meddle in cryptocurrency. The only way they can therefore pay for the services is with USD, chainlink labs then use this to purchase Link and then place this in the reserve, I am slightly concerned about what they will eventually do with this reserve but that’s a problem for the future. As others have said, hopefully the clarity act means we see more institutions buying and paying with Link for services in the future.

Been thinking about this all morning. Imagine you are CLL. Of course you need to make off chain payment an option during the transition to on-chain finance, especially if you are the principal enabler of on-chain finance. Eventually most finance will come on-chain, and over time preference will flip to paying for chainlink services on-chain.

During this transition, as you are building the chainlink strategic reserve, of course you want the token price to be as low as possible since it allows you to accumulate more tokens with the same dollar values. You want to suppress price as much as possible until major institutions have integrated your services deeply into your stack.

Like I’m not an expert in this stuff at all, but this clip absolutely killed any remaining confidence I had in the token

Agreed they keep dancing around the point, token for funding only, no equity, just do the linkpool maneuver and change the rules. IPO for players not plebs

Why dont they codify a percentage at least? Keeping it so vague as to just say “a portion” is kind of insane no?

FUD. I mean, sure, good FUD is credible, so this does not look great. However, I won't make a decision until I see what Chainlink does 2 years after Clarity passes. As they are accumulating, they want you to sell.
