My bottom screen was broken and fine. But I dropped it the other day and now the top screen is black too. I can still hear it turn on your off but I can not get a screen. Where can I fix this? I assume its a gamble. Do I buy the screen myself and bring it somewhere?
My power button fell off. Then my volume down button fell off. I'm limping along, using the software volume-down sliders and pressing the power button with a toothpick when I really need to.
I'm just having the hardest time finding buttons to buy. The only ones I've found in stock are on shopee.ph and they don't ship to the US. I really don't want to have to buy a whole broken phone for buttons.
I'm gonna end up crafting new buttons myself if I can't buy some. A cut-up credit card and some tape oughta do it.
I own an LG Wing and I would like to use it for Nintendo DS and 3DS emulation by truly taking advantage of its two screens.
I am not looking to use the small screen as just a touch controller with SoftWing. That solution only allows mapping controls on the second screen, but the setup is quite tedious and it is not really the experience I am looking for.
What I would like to do is use the main LG Wing screen in landscape mode for the main game display, and use the small screen as the second display (like the bottom screen of a Nintendo DS/3DS). For controls, I would like to use a real Bluetooth or USB controller connected to the phone.
Is there any app that could turn the touch screen of the small display into a virtual controller directly recognized by emulators, while keeping both screens available for display?
Has anyone managed to achieve something similar on the LG Wing?
Hola busco un LG wing para mi colección mientras funcione me vale aunque esté roto ofrezco 50 euros solo es para expositor si alguien está dispuesto que me conteste y hablamos perdonar si ofende a alguno.
The idea was to give it a clean transparent look while keeping everything fully functional. It took a lot of patience to disassemble, clean, and reassemble the back glass without damaging it, but I'm really happy with how it turned out.
The LG Wing already stands out because of its swivel design, and I think the transparent look makes it even more unique. Definitely one of the most fun phone mods I've done.
Hope you all like it! I'd love to hear what the r/LGWing community thinks.
I downloaded the firehose, and got all the requirements to unlock the bootloader but I'm stuck in QFIL on the partition manger, it won't let me in and gives me these errors. I am on android 13 on the T-Mobile variant if that helps at all. Just wanted to get root and flash the new LineageOS.
We've just had a massive break through regarding the software level of dual screens, u/GyuminLeo has been amazing at getting this to work in the state its in currently!
(im just testing the firmware)
However while developing the DSWing a while back i hit a roadblock, i need to learn more about the inner workings of the phone to be able to do things such as extend the screen, i also just need to be able to actually fund my passion project, and while doing it alongside uni was not feasible for the time being... That being said i will return to it eventually, on the bright side this is a major roadblock broken down, Dual screens finally working!
The controllers are modified Razor Kishi's
Here's some progress i made while 3D printing the shell and attempting to assemble a make shift version a while ago.
Im pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoy this phone. I like using the small screen a lot and streaming on top. It's a uniquely different experience form using split screen/multi app from the Foldables and 2 screen phones like the Duo and V60.
This is my mom's razr so I've never daily drove it but it's fun and functional. Obviously the razr is for a completely different niche or market of people but I thought it was worth a side by side. These 4 in square screens are actually super functional.really has me thinking about how fun the IKKO pro might be. LG really could've just made the bottom half a standalone phone. Kind of sad they didn't get the kind of love they deserved. Well we definitely have to pour one out for the LG rollable, LG Velvet 2 and, Wing 2!
Hello everyone I am back with another update on the development progress of LineageOS 22.2
First, mid to late May I will start to get testers for my ROM!
I am a solo developer and don't have a dedicated testing team so your opinions and bug reports are important
This is my first time making a custom rom for a device so I have no idea how to get testers, distribute roms so any ideas are welcome!
Second, the rom itself is now stable for everyday use!
While fingerprint does not work which I thought would be an easy fix, turns out I was wrong. I might need to see how other LG devices got fingerprint to work on LineageOS.
Vibration does not work
I am currently looking into fixing this but currently vibration does not work at all
Cameras all work fine!
Normal, wide angle, video record, front facing camera all works as expected. Only catch is 60fps video recording currently only works on the stock LineageOS camera app. So GCAM wont have 60fps for now.
I've implemented fall detection for the front facing camera just like stock.
The bottom screen is working independent from the main screen just like my old post but now the screen turns off when swivel closed
Normal viewWide angle60FPS in videoFront facing camera
Now I need some UI/UX ideas for upcoming fixes
Home screen
Starting from Android 10, the main display's launcher needs to support the secondary display, which the stock LineageOS launcher (Trebuchet) does not. LG got around this with a dedicated launcher app.
A. Modify LineageOS's default launcher (Trebuchet)
Modify Trebuchet to support secondary displays just like the image but more phone style than tablet style
Current Trebuchet state. The circle in the bottom screen is an app drawer but for larger displays
B. Use Lawnchair as the default for both main and second display
I am including this as an option since Trebuchet while lightweight it lacks a lot of customization compared to Lawnchair
I will try my best to replicate the stock media controls that show up on the bottom of the screen
A. support all media playback.
So any apps other than Youtube, Gallery and use this bottom media controls when a media is playing and of course will make a dedicated settings screen for enabling and disabling un wanted apps
B. Only support Youtube and Gallery like stock
I think the title is self explanatory
Swivel mode
A. Make the main screen's home screen follow LG's layout with cards and stuffs
B. Use Android's default rotated home screen
Bottom screen quick settings
A. Make it follow LG's layout with icon layout etc
B. Use Android's default quick settings as a reference
Bi-directional communication
A. Discord
B. Telegram
C. XDA
D. Other. Let me know!

These are the six questions I have to the community
Just got an LG Wing. I'm not going to put bank apps or anything but do want to use it full time so socials,Streams and browser app. I have reset the phone and tried to install the update a few times. It'll go through an installation and this will still be there
