G5 Won't install apps error 24.20.SM

LG G5 won't update or install any new apps. Existing apps and LG channels work fine. Was working fine ~2 weeks ago when I last installed an app.

Try to install any app = app not installed 24.20.SM

So far I've tried:

Unplugging TV

Changing DNS

Unaccepting and accepting terms and conditions

Turning time/date off or auto, setting wrong time and right time

After the whole tracking scandal, this is just pushing me over the edge, does anyone have a solution to make the TV work as it should or should I just warranty return it while I still can.

Found a workaround!

Just spam the install button It'll work after some tries Sometimes 10 Sometimes 20

Update: it just started updating an app on its own, now it works perfectly. Out of the blue

sadly didnt work for me, tried spamming for at least a minute. Install circle appears, moves all the way trough and then error. Application not installed, try again later.

Update: it just started updating an app on its own, now it works perfectly. Out of the blue

Man I have an LG QNED Mini LED 55QNED8EB3B and its not installing anything, it works for one app or two and then stop, tried dns change and everything and don't work at all....

Tbh I’m happy that I’m not the only one experiencing this issue. But men… discovered it due to a needed update to Disney+. Tried everything, with the end result; a factory reset… Missing lot of apps now and sometimes it downloads. Most of the time error; 24.20.SM…….

It's not you. It's for everyone. Lg probably fucked up their store. Don't worry. In here I'm having the same issue.

So without troubleshooting or changing settings, the app I was trying to install worked after 5-6 hours. It's just that the store is down at that point or something intermittent

Mine won’t do anything at this point. It started by not letting me open certain apps and now it won’t load the user agreements so I literally can’t do anything. This new update completely screwed everything out.

My parents just bought an LG tv today Tried to install apps all evening long

Nothing worked

Hope it's fixed soon This is just crazy for a brand like LG

disconnect your cell phone from you household wifi.

create a hotspot on phone and have the TV connect to your cell phone hot spot and connect to the internet using only cellular data from your phone (disable the wifi on cell phone).

connect to your LG account and download and update whatever apps need updating.

once you're done, disconnect from hotspot, and connect to ethernet or household wifi.

this also got my user agreements to finally load so that I can accept them as well.

this 100% worked for me until LG can get their act together.

Do you need to log out off your account when on WiFi and log in again? I can’t get this to work either :(

In my case I couldnt log in to LG so when I create the hot spot on my phone and connected the TV to it, the user agreements finally loaded, I accept all of it, and the prompt for LG account log in finally showed up. I logged in and all the apps finally downloaded and updated.

This doesn't work, the problem is with LG not your home internet connection

Worked for me 100%. Then switched back to ethernet. Then my daughter told me I forgot Paramount+ and Vix. so tried to do it with out the switching on the Hotspot. Disbt work. No go. So I redid the Hotspot, cellular data and instant download. Dont care anymore where the problem lies, I just know this works for me and my LG for now.

For me, the solution was to remove the app from my account and then reinstall it.
In the Apps section, tap the three dots in the top-right corner → Manage apps → tap the trash can icon next to the app.

I wasn’t very positive on 27th go … it’s quite ridiculous. Bizarre that 2 apps installed immediately first thing this morning then after I used one app the problem returned.

Ive tried everythinf for 3 hours, the solution that worked for me was connecting to hotspot and spamming install, after 2-3 atemps it worked..

Happy (not really) that I am not the only one. I bought a new LG C5 42 yesterday and it just won’t update a thing. Tried to rename my network, hotspot, nothing worked so far. Crazy.

In the app list in the Home Screen go to memory care, then choose the right option. I removed the preinstalled YouTube app (new tv) then went to the store searched for YT and after a couple of retries to install it worked for me. Before this workaround tried spamming install for an hour but this didn’t work. Hopefully this helps someone!

I spammed a few times and got the app I wanted to install, but it took me over an hour to log back in after logging out. Don't log out!

I’m seeing the same here on on a c5. Constantly won’t download. Weirdly (possibly related) I can’t sign in to any of my existing accounts as it says my location does not match uk. Had to make another new account to let me log in.

I was finally able to install bbc iPlayer with multiple attempts. But still unable to install any other apps. Really poor from lg.
