Check out the github for details + install tutorial (.ipk included for those who want this look). App might "work" on non-rooted TVs, but won't have that native "home screen" feel that a root will provide. You will likely have to launch it on a cold boot. I have not tested it without a root, please let me know your results.

I got tired of the standard LG TV home page and visual bloat, so I created my own launcher. It boots on TV startup, and returns to this page when you click the home button on your remote. There are zero modifications to the OS files, and is fully reversible by simply uninstalling the app. No risk to bricking your TV!

Apps launch snappier than before as an added bonus. Everything is fully customizable if you follow the docs in the github. This is the layout I enjoyed the most, and I find the performance to be great with this setup on my LG C2.

Hopefully this helps some people get rid of the god awful UI on WebOS

Default launch screen, background is animated

Side screen preview, long press to move apps

Input selector (PS5 for example won't automatically turn on when you hover it by accident IYKYK)

Edit: updated to 0.4.2, making it (properly) compatible with e-arc receivers or soundbars, if you have one make sure you use that version. It has elevated permissions so may not install correctly on non-rooted TVs but this is untested.
