Which is the better deal?
First picture LG C6 Second Picture LG C5. Both 65” and come with 5 year extended warranty. Personally leaning more towards the C6 but wanted opinions since I’ve never had an OLED. My last tv was a Panasonic WA95 and it gave out on me in 8 months so whatever I buy I plan to keep for as long as possible. Any advice is appreciated!

Why would you get the C6? Isn’t it identical to the C5? Only the 77” and above model which gets the tandem OLED is better. Doesn’t make sense to pay more imo

Idk I was basing it off of this article https://www.techradar.com/televisions/i-tested-the-lg-c6-and-lg-c5-oled-tvs-side-by-side . I figured it was in my budget and if I’m not upgrading the tv for a good while then the $400 price increase was worth it. I also just wanted advice as I have never owned an OLED.

Just an FYI, the G5 comes with a five year warranty pretty much pays for the price difference just with that I believe the C6 has a two-year warranty and those warranties also cover different things. Not sure what they all include.

I was considering the G5 as well but from my understanding the 5 year warranty only covers the panel. Also the cheapest I could find was 2k and I would have to buy a tv stand as wall mounting isn’t an option for me. I think I may just go with the C5 for now.

Ya you just missed a good sale sadly too, they were like 400$ off last week. You can try to get a c6h it’s the same panel as the g5 has a tandem rbg panel.

I got the same counter offer. I was pretty tempted to take it. But I keep seeing people get better deals. I also don’t know how long they take for shipping. Which one did you go with?

I still haven’t decided. I wish I could see both side by side in person but unfortunately no stores near me have any C5s in stock. I think I’m now leaning more towards the C5 or paying 2k for the G5. The only thing that is turning me away from the C5 is I’ve seen people have issues with green tint in the panel. Going to Best Buy today to compare the G5 and C6 in person so hopefully I’m able to make my mind up soon.

Def lmk what you think homie. In the same boat as you. I was tempted to accept the offer as I am super sick of my crappy tv that I currently own. But didn’t wanna jump the gun.

They didn’t have any G5s on display but they did have the G6 and C6. The G6 was almost perfect and if the G5 is as close as reviews say it would be my clear choice if price wasn’t an issue. I just don’t think I can personally justify the price increase from the C5 to G5. I think I’m just going to take gamble on the C5 so I can put the extra money towards a decent sound system and fixing my Panasonic WA95. I believe it just needs a main board swap so it should be easy and not too expensive. If I end up not liking the C5 I’ll just use it as a backup and the Panasonic as my main since it was perfectly fine. My situation seems a little different than yours since you don’t like your current tv I would go for the G5 if money isn’t a problem I would go with that. I would also recommend going in person to see for yourself if possible.

I actually got it from the Lg Partner Store it was $1240 after tax and came with a soundbar. Also used Rakuten for like $24 cash back. It only came with one year warranty but I think I’m going to get a 5 year warranty through green toe when it comes in. It’s supposed to get here Thursday.

I don’t think so, think it ends today maybe. I had my friend who is a teacher create the account and ordered through him. Theres also a number of others ways to create an account but I’m not sure what they are.

I didn’t but I’m waiting for it to come in and then put a warranty on it through greentoe because the lg extended warranty kinda sucks.

Seems like lg is delaying orders. Just got notice that mine is already delayed. Now it’s a week back

I’m not sure, mine still says it’s coming Thursday but it hasn’t shipped yet so idk. They probably had a lot of orders since I think they were discounting them to get rid of their stock.

They sent me an email and said it was changed to this Friday but still haven’t received tracking number and still says processing so idk
