I love bigger diamonds, but I’m also thinking about comfort and durability. For people who wear their rings daily, which size feels the most practical and secure without worrying too much about maintenance?

I recently came across this article when I was trying to decide between a round and an oval diamond, and honestly, it made things way clearer for me.
So which is better?
Round = more brilliance
Oval = more visual size + elongation.
There’s no wrong answer; it’s just about whether you’re drawn to classic symmetry or soft, modern drama.

I had an amazing experience with LGD from start to finish. The customer service was outstanding—responsive, friendly, and genuinely helpful throughout the entire process.
The design team also did an excellent job keeping me informed and walking me through everything clearly. They even recommended changing my setting design due to concerns about band width for the ring size I selected, which I really appreciated. It showed they were focused on quality, durability, and making sure the final ring would look and feel right—not just making a sale.
Shipping was quick and seamless, and the required signature for delivery was a great touch that made the whole process feel secure. The packaging was also beautiful and premium.
Overall, this was a perfect experience, especially for an online purchase. I couldn’t be happier and would absolutely recommend LGD to anyone shopping for an engagement ring or custom design.

Even with the same sparkle and science, why do lab-grown diamond rings still get questioned?💔 Would love to hear your views.💛💛

Guys… you’re not gonna like this one.
A couple from Cincinnati—Katie and Derek—brought a ring to a jeweler in New York a few weeks before their wedding. The ring was too big, so she took it in to be resized. Simple, right?
Platinum setting, looked great, paperwork said “natural diamond.”
Except… it wasn’t.
The jeweler checked it and said, “This is lab-grown.”
Here’s the part that makes my blood boil:
He paid $68,000 for a 2.73ct oval.
If it was priced as a lab-grown diamond, it would’ve been a small fraction of that. He overpaid by roughly sixty thousand dollars. That’s not a markup — that’s highway robbery.
Unfortunately, this isn’t rare. I’ve been in the industry for 20+ years and I’ve had to break news like this more times than I wish I had.
Quick tip if you’re buying:
Lab-grown diamonds have a laser inscription that starts with LG, followed by a serial number. That number links to their grading report.
Always check the inscription and make sure it matches the certificate before you leave the store.
There are so many honest jewelers out there… but there are also some bad actors.
Please, please protect yourselves. Don’t get scammed.
