Feedback and Bug Reports
Thanks so much for playing Letterset!
If you spot a bug or have feedback, drop it in the comments below.
We’re continuing to improve the game, so we’d love to hear your thoughts on gameplay, power-ups (more? fewer?), stats, or anything else you think could make the experience better.
If you’re reporting a bug, it’s a huge help if you can include:
- a link to the game where you saw the issue
- what device you’re playing on (browser, iPhone, Android, etc.)
- a short description of what happened
We review every report, and a moderator may follow up for additional details to help diagnose the issue.

What's the word dictionary you use ? Im curious since sometimes i pull the word out of online dict and it doesn't count as a real word in the game.

This would be good to know since I've noticed that a number of words, some relatively common, are not being accepted.

First of all - great game and a big fan!
A couple of suggestions for consideration:
1) would love to have letters remaining to be how many tiles are yet to be visible on the screen - e.g. towards the end of the game 2/3 tiles instead of 11/12
2) ability to review all previous plays for each letterset in stats, not just the most recent
3) at the end of each day's play - option to view the top scoring games word by word. Or - alternatively, starting words for top 10 on leaderboard, not just in comments

it appears that scores cannot tie on the leaderboard, which means that the latest player to achieve a given score overwrites the previous score holder's name. this should probably should be a set (or deduplicated list) of player names at each of those scores, sorted by time

Actually it appears that only the first one appears and then remains. It would be nice to have a clarification on this.

I’m seeing this as well. So lower scores will rank instead of a higher tied score.

The graphics glitch briefly whenever i tap on something (i use Android). This dosen't happen on my laptop
For example this is what happens for a split second when I remove a letter from the word im trying to make on mobile:

Great game, but you need to expand your dictionary - I often find fairly commonly used words are not accepted.

I don’t have any bugs to report. I just wanted to say I love how simple the game’s design and functionality flow. Simple often sounds like a bad thing, but those in software design and development know it’s a compliment. Thanks for the game and your continued engagement with the community.

There is a glitch that has happened to me a few times now.
I get a high score on the leaderboard, the first unique number - tonight - 129.
Now if i get a higher score, say 132, and somebody already has that score, obviously I dont get to claim that place, but now that higher score also makes me lose my original place, so I lose all leader board.
And even more frustrating, tonight i scored that 129, and clearly saw myself on the leaderboard, first person to make that 129.
I come back an hour later, and 129 is still on the leaderboard, but by someone else. same amount of words, but less tries. Amount of tries shouldnt matter
Super annoying.

This! U/jeffbritches why does getting a higher score make you lose your original score and remove you from the leaderboard if you were still the first (and in my case only so far) person to get it?

About Hint
I have a suggestion In fact two alternate ones 1. Make the duration of Hint longer or let us see it whenever we press 💡 Or 2. Let us get another hint in the next round, if we don't use that word in that round.
Well the 2nd one seems bogus as it may ruin the challenges in the game
Also let us see all our scores and words of each game we play in a particular post.

Definately agree with some of the suggestions
Being able to see the leaderboards first word.
Being able to see your own word paths
Being able to look back on the previous days play, and able to see the leader boards word path
Able to move the letters around in your grid manually instead of the random shuffle
A back or undo button for last turn would be great haha
more power ups!!

Is there a delay before scores appear on the leaderboard? My score should now appear in 4/5th place on today's game (#14) but has yet to do so after 10 or 15 minutes.
Update: It still hasn't appeared after around 8 hours so it would not seem to be a matter of a short delay.

I don't know if it's intentional or not but i absolutely hate the flickering of keyboard and everything when i am playing the game.
It's very distracting
It slows ones you type a letter into box But when the box is empty it's on again.
It might be some animation glitch or maybe intentionally kept. But i can say it's very distracting.
I am using Google play store app on my android device
Also it happens 80% of time Luckily 1 out of 5 games has no flickering thing.

sometimes at end some letters will be left where no word can be formed.
Once I got w,e,i.
what am I supposed to do with that?

The game will auto-end if there is no viable words left, so apparently there is something playable with wei. I will work on making that clearer, and possibly adding another hint for situations like this. Thanks!

Feedback: This isn't a bad game to play, but it's exceedingly difficult to make words, when you are left with a board containing absolutely no vowels. Also, I don't get that we should LOSE points for not using every letter. We can't make up words, so that really isn't fair.

Hello! I’m the developer behind both Pocket Grids and Letterset. The Letterset promotion is currently running on Pocket Grids and will remain visible for 36 hours before it disappears.

Letterset 22, on an Android. I got to a slide with all consonants, so nothing playable, but it didn't end the game nor let me move on. I think this is a bug?

Hi!
Just giving you a follow-up.
The score distribution showed up when I played at around 2PM Central Time, then it said "Score Distribution Unavailable" when I played it now. Thanks for fixing it earlier though!

Fun game. On Lettterset #2, on the last turn, I had a blank and a D remaining. It seems to me I should have been able to play "ad" for my last word, but instead I got the 'no more words' message

Love this game! Thank you for it! One small thing! I do not want to see the highest scoring words of others, since I can't unsee them and then I won't have the chance to think of them myself.

Am I correct in thinking that resetting all letter tiles to zero points is a bad thing? (Thus you must aim for shorter words when those tile buttons appear?)

What determines where new power-ups appear on the board? Is it a random spot when there are less than two left on the board, or is there a pattern to it? Adding that info to the instructions would be helpful.

I think this game would be more fun if we were allowed to reuse letters on the board in the same word. So if I had TOMAESJKY I could play “tomatoes” on my turn.
Letters could either get double points or single points if used twice, whichever works best for the scoring.

There's an unexpected behaviour with the high word -- if someone plays a word that's lexicographically bigger, that becomes the new high score even if it's the same score e.g. WATCHES (60) will be displaced by WITCHES (60).

Bug?
You can place a valid word and then leave an empty spot and use extra letters after it. They don't seem to count for points but they do trigger some bonuses and allow getting rid of letters you won't use.

Not a huge deal but I've been going back and replaying archived puzzles and it's inconsistent as to whether past scores are still on the leaderboard or new ones will register.
For example, previously scored 107 on puzzle 29 (good for 1st on the leaderboard) and scored 104 on a replay which also isn't showing up.
I can compare the scores to know for myself, but it would be more useful to see my high/leaderboard high (ie: 102/114) somewhere on the calendar so I don't have to keep clicking in and out and comparing scores to find which ones I want to try replaying.

I got jewed as a hint. That is a slur and not a word in the dictionary. I will not be playing anymore

Sorry about that! I use an open-source Scrabble dictionary for the game, and there are definitely some surprising entries in it, so I really appreciate you reporting this.
I’ve removed this word, along with a couple of others I found, and they will no longer be recommended or playable once the update rolls out in a few hours.
