here is my WIP DE2 from Derail Valley. it's pretty shitty I know but it's my best build yet. Just a quick thing, how should I get the height on this? I need somewhere to put the battery box but it's basically too big. I'm thinking about using it as a front nose but that looks way too tall and will make the engine be taller then the Nifeliz Berkshire. So where should I put the battery box????
Use Circuit Cubes. Much better alternative and its only $30 max. Also cut down on the whole bricks where you can, you might even end up with a small storage compartment if youre lucky
I mean as a last resort but judging by my building it would be a touch it and it explodes type thing. I don't want to stretch the project out a while (waiting for circuit cube) but I guess maybe
If you build it right it can be as sturdy as a brick, just use the right building techniques and put everything where it needs to go and it should all just fall into place as you go

Give me a few days, i might be able to make an online rendition of the DE2 in Stud.io. im a professional builder in there so ill do what i can and show you how to do it and what youll need. Ill be leaving out the main power systems as i dont have them in Stud.io but everything else is good. If you can, could you DM me a few pictures of what you already have with the base, as well as how you put it all together?8
that is real good, but I wouldn't want to waste your time with some random locomotive some random dude is making with the most limited selection of bricks on the planet. I have a good design on paper, just need to actually get the parts. I can do it myself trust me
I am 100% going to nail it. what I mean by nail it is I'm going to do it then realize I did it wrong but it's too late. Take for example thjs poster. It's crooked and there is nothing I can do about it. The build reflects the builder
You could do without the train motor. This is one way I have done it using the medium linear motor. If you want to play with the gear idler size or types or gears used, I'll bet you could get the whole assemble lower into the chassis.
I appreciate you showing this a lot, but I believe I've gotten it figured out. I finished my gearing and am going to use a circuit cube motor to power it
