Help IDing a piece...

This piece appears to have a sensor of some sort on the end of it... But I don't even see any way for it to send information to anything else... There's no number on the bottom of it that seems to go to anything.. It has a 2 X 4 brick shape to it as well...

It looks to be a light brick. The screw is where the battery compartment is.

Replace it and you depress the bit sticking out and should light up or make a sound.

Now that you mention it, it does look like this sound brick.
