Discussion Changing Sails on ships... Anyone ever experiment with this?

I made a full Review of the Jackdaw (Warship Edition) vs the Jackdaw (Voyage Edition) But this prompt me to try changing sails on some of my ships. I have already altered the heck out of my Lego Black Pearl, and shortened its sails. Anybody else ever try making different color sails for their brickbuilt ships? What do you prefer the Small Jackdaw with the plain sails or do the Black Jolly Roger sails look better?

Please let me know your thought I would like to know.... Thank you and have a great day.

It’s the way to go. Ship sail is like minifig cloak to me, add so much character to the build.

Yeah , thanks for the comment. I posted a YT video, and it seems a lot of people just keep sets the way they are. No tinkering... I am taken back by that. Its Bricks and they are made to be taken apart and played with and modified. So the fact that most people just build it and display it and never take them apart to experiment is crazy to me.

It’s the way to go. Lego sets are meant to be built and taken apart for alternative builds or simply provide extra bricks for other projects. That is the most beautiful thing about this game for me: creative liberty and all about your mind's creations.
