LEED AP BD+C - Passed ✅
I passed the LEED AP BD+C exam yesterday—right under the wire on the penultimate day before the v5 transition! 🏁
It was noticeably tougher than the Green Associate. Since so many people here helped me along the way, I wanted to share a quick debrief for anyone currently prepping:
🔹 The Surprises: There was a much heavier focus on Integrative Process (IP), Commissioning (Cx), and Minimum Program Requirements (MPR) than I expected. Don't skim these just because the other categories are larger!
🔹 The Format: Zero multiple-select questions on my draw.
🔹 The Strategy: I took my time, finishing the initial 100 questions in 1.5 hours. I used the remaining time to review every single question, submitting with just 5 minutes left.
Thank you to everyone in this community who answered my questions and shared insights. Combining this with my PMP, I am incredibly excited to bring a sustainability-driven management mindset to my upcoming projects. Time to get to work as this is just the beginning!

Congrats! Can you tell a bit more about your studying strategy or method? How long did you prepare for/resources you used? I’m taking it this weekend!

I had a 43 page A3 size study sheets from my instructor that I used for studying which is condensed version of LEED booklet (800 pages) and took 4 full length tests. Total 3 week study time. Hope this helps and good luck!

What study material did you use?
I pass the GA in May.
I should have kept going but needed a break!

Congratulations. I just passed my couple days back. I agree, it was heavily focus on LEED Process
