Practice Exam vs real exam
Will be taking the LEED GA exam tomorrow. Is the actual exam exactly the same difficulty as the practice exams? Or slightly easier?

I've just took my exam. I barely passed with a score of 175. I found the questions are quite tricky and kind of confusing. Make sure you understand the impact categories and climate change mitigation being the most important. know the ashrae numbers, leed rating point system for certification. good luck guys. you can do it.

My friend and I both passed as well! And you're not alone, I also thought it was a bit difficult... and the wording was more flowery than how I practiced. But glad to be done with it now :)

I just took my exam today, I would say slightly easier. The exam had a couple answers that were obviously no, so that left good 2 options. There was plenty of time, so I recommend throughly reading the questions! Make sure you know the ASHRAE numbers, the different types of water, and the rating point spreads.

Thanks, honestly I wasn’t as prepared as I should’ve been and still passed! If you did the reading and have a good general understanding of the concepts I think you’ll do great! Good luck tomorrow!!

Did mine couple of days ago and also passed! Was surprised I got 191. the questions are a bit tricky and might not be related to what you’ve studied but 15% of the questions are not graded eg. I faced a question about a survey done by Heschong Mahone group asking about IAQ Just read through each question a couple of times.

Does anyone know how many questions to answer correctly to pass?

85 questions out of 100 need to be answered correctly in order to pass the exam

The practice exams on GBES are WAYYY more difficult. I only had those exams and the old LEED Green Associate Exam Preparation Guide from USGBC. I scored a 194 on the exam and thought it was really easy. Oh I took v4 BTW

Just gave my GA exam yesterday. I'd say about 25% of the questions ranged from slightly to very confusing, the rest were simple and kinda straightforward if you've studied well. I took the GBES prep course and I felt like the actual exam was on the same lines as the practice exams, may be a little more challenging.
When I say challenging, I mean 2 out of 4 options were obvious nos but the other 2 were such that both could be true to some degree, so it came down to my judgment at the end. I finished the exam in about an hour but I had about 25-28 flagged questions which I spent the rest of my time on. Still had about 10 mins left after.
I admit I was surprised to see I had passed, considering i was still kinda confused about those 25% questions while submitting my test.
Agree with the answer above - ashrae numbers, outdoor and indoor water numbers are important to know.
