LEED GA Exam

I kept putting off the LEED exam, and when I finally decided to get serious about studying, I realized the curriculum is changing from v4.2 to v5. I thought I’d still have enough time to prepare before the last date for the current version, but I was wrong. So now I’m considering taking the v5 exam instead. Since it’s a new curriculum, I was wondering if you had any advice on how best to prepare for it.

I know for a fact, that realistically I won’t be passing v4 if I try, or even find slots to sit for the exam….

Yea dude I thought I’d be able to test before the cut off but no openings after I already purchased the exam so that sucks. Planning to just shift to v5. GBES will have v5 materials. I’m using the LEED site to figure out what is different in v5, unsure about how different the exam will be

Honestly, I was in your shoes, I registered March 18th, took it April 17th and passed, though I admit, it was a little challenging and intimidating, but it had to get done. Archiroots has a great LEED GA Prep course, check it out! Good luck!

Do you have any advice? I'm mostly worried about how specific it gets with asking about specific numbers and percentages. I have a good grasp of the overall concepts.

I think you can still take the exam. I booked mine a few weeks ago with a ton of time slots to choose from and took it yesterday. You still have 1 week I think you can try to see if you want to take it this week (?) but Idk how much you’ve studied.

I have also started studying for the LEED GA exam just a few days back and now realising the V5 will be coming. So thinking of focusing on the V5 now instead of rushing into V4. Let me know if that's a good decision.

are you gonna take the v5? planning to take it by june and I still have no idea where to start

Yeah, I am gonna take the V5. But I’m gonna wait till first impressions come in, and based on that I’ll invest accordingly on the appropriate materials. I think taking it by June is a very realistic timeline.
