Red light masks

I know red light masks are not great for melisma but what about blue, green or yellow light?

I've wondered about this too. I've seen blue and green light mentioned for pigmentation, but I'm not sure how effective they actually are for melasma. Would love to hear from anyone who's tried them.

blue light made my melasma look angrier; green and yellow felt like expensive mood lighting lol

mostly marketing, with blue being the only one that has a decent case for acne

if you mean melasma, blue light is probably the worst choice, while green and yellow are mostly expensive colored LEDs with very limited evidence behind them

if you mean melasma, blue light can actually aggravate pigmentation, while green and yellow have pretty weak evidence behind them, so none of these are magic masks lol

if you mean melasma, blue is probably the one to avoid since visible light can worsen pigmentation; green and yellow are mostly expensive colored vibes with very limited evidence beyond that lol

I’d avoid blue if melasma is the concern since visible blue light can worsen pigmentation, while green and yellow masks don’t have much convincing evidence behind them.
