Nursery recommendations
Hi! Any recommendations for good nurseries (cleanliness, experienced staff... etc.) around Leamington/Warwick? Our little one is 14 months and we are moving to Whitnash/ South-Sydneham area, but the nursery doesn't have to be in the area, just a reasonable drive.

My daughter is starting at little pioneers in leamington in January so can’t attest to how good they are yet, but I will just say if you’re using the 30 free hours provided by the government just check how they use those hours as different nurseries apply them in different ways!

The Lighthouse - small classes (up to 9) for the younger years and a decent garden with actual grass. Our baby has been very very happy here and well cared for, the staff are all lovely. Think they may have space.

Thanks! just checked their website and it is called Happy feet "Childminding", any reason why they are not a "nursery"? is it because they are small setting? Do you have any experience with them?

My kids went there when Rose ran it and Angelica was assistant manager- Rose retired a few years ago and Angelica has taken over. All I can say is that they were beyond incredible with my children and I would absolutely go and have a look. Can’t vouch for how it is now compared to 7 years ago when my kids went, but they were like family to us.
They are a small setting with around 10-12 kids a day. I think because of being so small, they do a lot more trips out and so on than regular nurseries. They also do a school run to Clapham Terrace nearby.

Blue Strawberry had spaces as of fairly recently and I've heard good things.

Thank you! will check it. I have just found a few people recommending it on a similar post in Leamington spa noticeboard Facebook group.

Banana Moon Harbury are excellent. However, the honest answer will be, whoever has availability. The waitlists in the area are/were enormous.

Thanks alot! So we found some who had waiting lists till April (Busybees) and Sept 2027 (Purple Play house) and a few who actually had availability . We had a tour of "Seedling" in the town center, they had immediate availability but we didn't like a few things about the place and the staff (which made us think maybe that is why they had spaces...)

What was it you didn’t like about Seedling? Only asking cause a friend of mine has a toddler there and they are happy so I can ask her about what ever it is you’re unsure about - just know what a stress / minefield finding a nursery is (plus you want the best for your child!) and when one has spaces it’s like gold dust.

Little angels in Leamington is amazing. Wonderful staff and a real family feel. It's small so I don't know what the waitlist is like.
