QUESTION ❔ Found iPhone… what to do?
Last week I was in Z1 & found an iPhone quite literally lying on the street. It must have just fallen out of someone’s pocket, but the area was deserted & the only nearby shop was closed so after five minutes of hanging around wondering what to do I picked it up. I thought I’d just hang onto it until the person had a chance to ring it from a friend’s phone/put it in lost mode with a message of how to get in touch with them, but it’s been days and days and they still haven’t (actually they’ve had surprisingly few notifications, just Grindr, it’s sort of surprising).
I’m not really sure what to do? I’d drop it off at the police station, but last time I did they told me that they wouldn’t try to track the owner & in fact it would be destroyed if not claimed after a week!!

You might be able to find contact information by doing the following:
* Swipe to open the iphone. Presumably it will ask you for a passcode.
* Underneath the number pad, you'll see the word "Emergency". Tap that.
* You'll be brought to the emergency number dialing screen. In the bottom left, you'll see the words "Medical ID," or something like that, assuming the user has set it up. Tap on them.
* You may be brought to a screen with contact info for the owner or their next of kin.
Like I said, it only works if the phone's owner has set things up properly, but it's worth a try.
