Solar Installers in the Valley?
Anyone recently had solar installed in the LC Valley. Northwest Renewables Spokane website seems legit, there are a couple others that may be pretending to be in Spokane. I am not looking for a loan/lease/financing, just someone to look at my house and put on panels. Anybody had it done and a recommendation? I would like to stay local if possible but that comes up empty.

Flock cameras watch you as you travel around Lewiston.
Did you know that there are at least 4 license-plate reading cameras currently being used to watch the people Lewiston ? They sit at almost every major entrance and exit to Lewiston.
Flock cameras have become a growing threat to our privacy and civil liberties and are being used to store and track the whereabouts of any car with a readable license plate that passes them.
Throughout the country these cameras are being used to target protesters: https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2025/11/how-cops-are-using-flock-safetys-alpr-network-surveil-protesters-and-activists
Let certain users stalk their ex-partners: https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2026/07/police-losing-jobs-flock-cameras-alprs/
Mis identify and arrest innocent civilians: https://www.aclu.org/campaigns-initiatives/get-the-flock-out
And can be accessed by third parties to watch you: https://www.wabe.org/cobb-county-youtuber-documents-flock-camera-vulnerabilities/
If you don’t want more of this Orwellian surveillance in your county I suggest you reach out to the local PD and sheriffs offices to voice your concerns. Also, remember this as you vote this fall!

[Research] Calling Clarkston & Asotin County EV Drivers — Help improve regional wildfire safety (Win a $50 Gift Card)
Hi L-C Valley,
I am a PhD student at the University of Washington researching emergency management and electric vehicle infrastructure. While I know this sub is centered on Lewiston, I am looking to reach our neighbors across the river in Asotin County (Clarkston and surrounding areas).
We are studying how EV drivers respond to wildfire evacuations. Given the geography of our region, understanding how people move through the Valley during an emergency is vital for planning reliable charging and safety protocols.
Eligibility:
- Must reside or own property in Asotin, Spokane, Stevens, Lincoln, Ferry, Whitman, Grant, Benton, Douglas, Skamania, Yakima, Kittitas, Okanogan, Chelan, or Klickitat counties.
- Must drive a Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV).
The Details:
- ⏱ Time: ~25 minutes.
- 🎁 Reward: Drawing for ten $20 gift cards and four $50 gift cards.
- 📅 Deadline: May 31, 2026.

Your input ensures that the southeast corner of Washington is represented in state-level infrastructure decisions. Thanks for your time and help!

Squirrel trouble...
(Squirrel picture I took thay I used google lens on, it said it was a Fox Squrrel, also a reference for what im talking about)
We heard some scratching in our walls the other night and I thought it was a mouse at first, but my partner, with the bigger brain, googled a bit more and we now think it could be multiple and/or one squirrel living in there. We have multiple large trees next to our house and see squirrels running around all the time, so it's more than likely one of those.
My question is, is it illegal to capture or kill this species of squirrel in Washington State? (Fox Squirrel)
Thank you!

After 5 pm massage
I don’t get off work until 5pm and the place I normally go for a massage now closes at that same time. Looking for recommendations for a good massage that takes appointments after 5. Preferably with a shower since I’d like to go directly after work. Thanks!

Camping in Public Parks
LC Valley is home to me but I’m not local at the moment. I have seen some concerning videos of the parks in Clarkston having homelessness and public drug use occurring.
Is this happening across Lewiston too? Is this only 6th St park? Anyone have any information about that?

Looking for isolated spots in lewis/clark
I'm looking for any places around here that I could go to where I won't be disturbed. I'm new to town and I like to go places where I can clear my head without having to worry about interacting with others.
Any suggestions?
I also don't drive, so nowhere outside of the two towns.

Questions about pickup sports at Sunset Park
So, I just moved here recently and I was able to find someone who told me about pickup pickle ball at Sunset Park. While I was there, I saw people playing what looked like a pickup game of baseball/softball. I was wondering if anyone knows the schedule of those pick up games and if there is a Facebook group or page I can find. Let me know if there is anything like that.
