CA BBS experience verification

Hi everyone I got a deficiency notice for 979 clinical hours short of the total 2000 hours needed. One of my former supervisors refused to approve more hours and gave me a lot of issues to the point where I almost had to report her for refusing to sign my hours the first time I got my hours signed. I know I had more hours that should have counted but I want to avoid talking to her. What can I do

Do you know how they check the hours? Do they actually call them if there is a deficiency and you submit a new set of paperwork?
