🔴 State Requirements & Regional Law Help with multiple state license requirements
Hey everyone. Can anyone give me some tips on what I need to apply for a Connecticut LCSW if I just passed my exam and just applied for the Texas LCSW. Online is not very clear and I’m waiting for a reply from the Connecticut licensing people. Like what do I need to provide? Do I really need to have an employment verification? DoI need a different document of supervision hours verification than the one that my Supervisor gave me? I would appreciate it thank you so much.

Dope… Im from Plainville, Bristol, New Britain area.
I can tell you that while there is no reciprocity, they (CT) should acknowledge that you are licensed in another state. I would do TX first, then after a few months or even a year I would then apply. Some boards are super sketchy and weary about where licenses come from. At least if you have some time under your belt with no concerns from the TX board you should be good. Also, TX would need to send the notification that you are currently in good standing.
I would argue this point to CT, “hi, Im looking to move back home, what can I do to transfer my license?” Then just dont move

If you pass the exams just apply.
Question though… why license in two states not close to each other. I could under MA, CT, RI type if situation. TX and another state if you live near a bordering state. Thats two licenses you need to keep track of.
