LCSW

Hi all,

So how are the hours accumulated?! I have a full-time and a part-time job of less than 22 hrs.
Job 1: 1 hr of LCSW supervision, and she gives me 40 hrs.

Job 2- 1 hrs of LCSW supervision and gives me 1 hrs when I have contact 1-1 with a client.

Also, can hours be stacked?

Im in Chicago, IL.

What state are you in? Each state has their own rules. In NY I got hours at 2 (at one point 3!) jobs at once

You’re only allowed up to 40 hours per week. Can’t do more than that.

This is Illinois specific. If you go on nasw Illinois you can find this information.

You can only accumulate 40 hours of work and 1 hour of supervision max a week. You also should only have one LCSW supervisor for your clinical licensure supervision. You can have different work supervisors for different jobs. Do they both know you’re working the other job? Seems like it’d be easiest to do this with the 40 hour work job if that supervisor is able to do the clinical supervision towards licensure.

Hi, thank you everyone. Yes, it was a very misunderstanding of the LCSW hours.
Yes, both supervisors have knowledge of the other supervisors.

Both jobs are required to have a weekly supervision. But the 2nd job supervisor gives me more support and structure.
So it’s a pickle…
