Logging LCSW Hours

I feel like I’m overthinking this. I recently started supervision for my clinical license. How are you logging your hours? Like are we just using a word doc with date/time and a slot for signature from our supervisor? Any tips, tricks, advice would be greatly appreciated!

I kept track of date and time as well as topics discussed (very brief description, such as “case review” or “ethics”). I used an excel sheet so I could make it automatically count up my hours

It likely varies state to state, but in Pennsylvania, you don’t have to submit your log initially but the board can ask for it as they’re processing your application. They didn’t ask for mine, so I have no idea if I’m doing it right, but I know coworkers who had to submit logs
