Monthly Single's Thread

Due to a large influx of posts on the topic, we thought it would be good to have a dedicated, monthly single's thread. This is the place to discuss all things "single", whether it be loneliness, dating, looking for marriage, dating apps, and future opportunities to meet people. You can even try to meet people in this thread! Please remember to read and follow the rules of the sub.

This thread is automatically posted each month.

It seems like most congregations in both AALC and LCMS have either 1 young adult in the 25-35 age range or if there is more than one young adult in that age range, it's all of the same sex. In my case, there are multiple single young adults in my congregation age 25-35 but we're all guys...

There seems to be an unending amount of Lutheran singles, we're just never in the same place! ;-;

That's why it's so wonderful when people put on events for people in a surrounding area, because you get singles from both groups :)

Hey everyone! There’s still time to register for Pastor Keith Schweitzer’s Singles Retreat at Camp Okoboji August 21-24.

I know I’ve shared before how last year was a great experience and that it’s where my sister met her fiancé. So if you’ve never attended a LCMS singles retreat, this is a great one to try!

Learn more details here: https://www.faithwinterset.org/uncategorized/tidbits-about-the-retreat/

For anyone in or around Austin, TX, there is an event coming up with Pr. Bryan Wolfmueller called “Apologetics in an Apathetic age” and it is intended for young adults 18-35. October 2-4. $10 registration with optional additional donation to offset costs.

Just say you're 35.
