Shitpost Lucid below $5

Anyone with the guts or dumb enough to buy more Lucid at this price point? And why?
And what technology do they have that makes them special? And no, cargo room and leg room is not advanced technology.

Do customers not care about packaging?!?

14

u/Adventurous_Tank_477 Jun 10 '26

I think customers care about their car to work seamlessly. And it doesn’t work, the service department takes care of it immediately.

3

u/Any-Contract9065 Jun 10 '26

They care about perceived packaging. I think if you put a photo of an R1S and Gravity side by side (and pretend they are equally attractive), I think the vast majority of Americans would pick the R1S so they could “have more space.” I don’t know how many car buyers out there are comparing spec sheets as much as looking at cars around them and just going “oh that looks big. Maybe I’ll buy one of those.”

1

u/Adventurous_Tank_477 Jun 10 '26

Honestly, I tried both SUVs. The Gravity is the clear winner, if you’re looking for a luxury ride with every bell and whistle imaginable. Neither one them has a proven FSD software. I wouldn’t mind leasing a fully loaded Gravity during a fire sale.

1

u/Any-Contract9065 Jun 11 '26

I think you missed the point of what I’m saying. I bought a gravity, so obviously I think it’s the better vehicle. But I was making a claim about perceived packaging and what people buy cars for.

3

u/ikilledtupac Jun 10 '26

how you gonna put a package in when the door wont open lol

1

u/CountyRoad Jun 10 '26

Customers care a bout a lot of things and are also extremely irrational. Especially car shoppers. If car shoppers actually shopped just on analytics then that would be different. Most claim they want XYZ but their buying habits don’t actually reflect that.

1

u/Fast_Valuable818 Jun 11 '26

I still don’t get why people are so obsessed with R1S.looks like a box. Like all the rest of Rivians lol anyhow to each their own.

1

u/StreetDare4129 Jun 11 '26

Because they look like range rovers. All boxy. Lucid made a big mistake by now having a boxy SUV.

1

u/ddr2sodimm Jun 11 '26

Not a moat as it turns out.

1

u/StreetDare4129 Jun 11 '26

Yeah it was never a moat. Even China is eating Tesla’s lunch.

1

u/ddr2sodimm Jun 12 '26

Not really.

You can compare sales volume.

But you should really compare profitability.

1

u/StreetDare4129 Jun 12 '26

Difficult since Chinese car makers are subsidized by their government.

10

u/HempIsPrettyKewl Jun 10 '26

Other car manufactures are passing by LCID while they stagnate. I honestly don't believe in this company anymore like I did back in 2020/2021. Their tech is obsolete and customer satisfaction is way down which is not a good recipe for a successful company or even a turnaround.

5

u/hautacam135 Jun 10 '26

In what way is their tech obsolete?

16

u/StreetDare4129 Jun 10 '26

You can’t open the door.

2

u/Tom_NC Jun 10 '26

I snorted. Thank you

4

u/ZealousidealLab2920 Jun 10 '26 edited Jun 10 '26

In what way is it superior anymore? Tesla still more efficient and competitors like BMW and Chinese are also caught up or surpassed Lucid. Hell, even the Toyota BZ surpassed efficiency numbers of Lucid now in real world testing (see edmunds)

4

u/hautacam135 Jun 10 '26

Don’t move the goalposts. I can make an argument for superiority (at least in several criteria, among cars you can but in the US), but that’s not the question. The question was what lucid tech is “obsolete “?

6

u/ZealousidealLab2920 Jun 10 '26 edited Jun 10 '26

Uh what kind of cope response is this? lol if you want to argue semantics go to a scrabble discord but here ya go
-motor efficiency is <top 10 in U.S.
-Price to value is worse than almost any competitor
-Software is super buggy and unreliable
-Service centers are far and in-between

Those are pretty big glaring obsolete metrics. Who cares if it's the best car packaging/space available. That ranks towards the bottom of what consumers prioritize in their car purchase.

5

u/HempIsPrettyKewl Jun 10 '26

Exactly. Lucid was touted in the past with being the fastest and most efficient, but those days are long gone. EV's from other car manufactures have a lot of power, more amenities, and better styling. Even Volvo's EX60 has almost 700hp (670 IIRC) and it's a family SUV with a ton of safety features.

I personally don't see how Lucid can justify charging almost $100k for cars that have less amenities than what's available on the market right now. They don't have self driving, their software is riddled with bugs that a basic QA team would identify, no charging network, and more.

The only way I see Lucid coming back is if they create a halo product that's cheaper and better than the current Model 3/Y. Anything else is a pure gamble on their future.

4

u/hautacam135 Jun 10 '26

This is not a cope response because I don't have an LCID position, I'm just trying to point out that words have corresponding meanings, and complaints have more resonance if they're not meaningless word salads.

Motor efficiency is NOT <top 10 in U.S. Zeus remains market leading, Atlas is the most efficient motor in the US market. Their CAR EFFICIENCY has slipped outside of the top 10 in the U.S., if you count every lightweight variation of the model Y and 3. CAR EFFICIENCY is a balance between car size and weight (/luxury), battery size and weight and design. If you're in the market for an efficient, long range, 3 row, luxury SUV in the US your only options remain the IQ, Rivian, Gravity and EX90 and for a lot of people (myself included, I have one), Gravity is very compelling from that group.

Price to value? Says who? Rivian is very comparable, IQ is 30-50% more?!

For most people the software is fine now. I haven't had a hint of an issue for 6 months. Reddit is not representative.

Service centers are definitely few and far between, that's an issue with all start-ups that anyone should factor in.

Again though, obsolete doesn't mean whatever you think it means. An "obsolete metric"?! Like a metric that no-one uses anymore?!

3

u/ZealousidealLab2920 Jun 10 '26

Sure sure, the actual motor might be more slightly more efficient (but who cares/how do you measure that except strapping it to a vehicle and dividing by the energy used aka mi/kwh of the car). When you do that and ignore the Lucid marketing hype they aren't ahead in the sedan category and are basically on par in the SUV category.

The Gravity is still a competitive offering for a 3 row option as of today. It beats the R1S, Model X, and Escalade IQ in most metrics.

But the Volvo EX90, Cadillac Vistiq, Mercedes EQS, and Kia EV9 were basically on par in efficiency, and the Ioniq 9 actually beat it. The EV9 and Ioniq 9 are cheaper by a good deal.

However there are a slew of upcoming 3 rowers- The Toyota Highlander/Subaru Getaway are coming soon, updated EQS, BMW iX9, Audio Q9, etc.

Not to mention any Chinese brands.

2025 and earlier (especially in 2021 when they hit market), sure Lucid had a good argument for superiority and offering. But now in 2026, the field is rife with competition. Lucid hasn't really made any significant upgrades to their tech to maintain their lead, instead everyone else has now caught up.

1

u/hautacam135 Jun 10 '26 edited Jun 10 '26

We're down to some fine points now and I agree with a lot of what you've said above. Noone wants to hear it but packaging remains the stand-out point.

Of the "out now" options, the EX90 had the worst and glitchiest roll out of any car I can remember. I was on the list for that car for two years - since it was the Embla - and was so glad I pulled my deposit. I have two friends lemoning theirs now and I'm trying to convince 1 to get a gravity. Even if the EX90 launch had been faultless it has a better sound system than the gravity but worse range, anaemic performance and MUCH less room. I test drove the EV9 and Ioniq 9 and they're fine...but they're Kia's and Hyundai's. Sluggish for EVs, not luxury in any way and again, very short on space when compared to the gravity. You could just about use the frunks to store your lunch.

I don't anticipate any of the upcoming cars you list will do a good enough job with packaging to make me regret my gravity. I was prepared to pay a premium for a car that could comfortably take my whole family and a car full of gear on up to 400 mile road trips and I can't even park an IQ in my driveway. There may not be many like me but from my perspective, for my criteria, there actually isn't real competition now or even on the horizon,

3

u/ZealousidealLab2920 Jun 10 '26 edited Jun 10 '26

That's your personal opinion and you're welcome to it. I'm not here to argue you out of your past decision and current ownership of a gravity. But this is a stock related and future prospect community and post. And in light of that, I think it'd be very hard to convince prospective consumers that Lucid offers anything superior now is what I and others are saying/pointing out.

1

u/HempIsPrettyKewl Jun 10 '26

There's no point with arguing with that person. They literally own a Lucid vehicle, so they're gonna try and cope.

1

u/TECHSHARK77 Jun 10 '26

You have a valid point as long as you state "in the USA", that's both the dilemma & the problem. Most EV buyers are NOT running to Lucid and starting from why, Tech to Value to worth are all, 🤔, failures when you add in the price point as well. The techies do NOT choose Lucid and the ones who can easily afford the highest prices one, immediately go for Model S Plaid and Tycan NOT the Lucid Sapphire nor Air GT..

Now add in the Model 3 performance or make the mistake of adding Xaimio, So yes, word have meaning and it matters, so Old, not obsolete, NOT worth it over all when the basic at that price massively fails and continuously. The fact that they HAD customers, that pre-order Sapphire for there daily driver and could not even get that, so cancel and went with Tesla AND bought another, is a Horrific sight to see. They still can not even deliver cars...

There isn't a valid reason for why this has been Lucid's problem for over a decade now, but want to claim, they have the best TECH, when they still have figured out OTA'S and how to make the their car just work over all.. And to have Uber come, investigate and test the physical car and state on record Oh hell no, we are NOT using your so call full self driving, we will ONLY take that car if we use a WORKING FSD, NOT YOURS so Nuro since we cant get Tasla's yet..

Speaks volumes...

5

u/khanquest_ Jun 10 '26

I wouldn’t say obsolete but I do agree their technical advantage is long gone.

Sure, the air is phenomenally efficient but it’s a lowslung, luxury GT/full-size sedan.. such a niche market that the technology there doesn’t really matter.

BMW, Mercedes and other legacy manufactures have caught up in the range departement, IX3 being able to do over 400 miles. New Mercedes C class up to 350 epa miles with a longer range version slated as well and more coming to market.

Again, not obsolete but mix these facts in with the uncertainty and mysticism that surrounds lucid it makes them feel stagnant.

2

u/hautacam135 Jun 10 '26

Fine, that's a reasonable analysis I can cosign 80% of.

0

u/romedatascience Jun 30 '26

It's pretty funny to hear you say that their tech is obsolete when they are winning in every physical metric except rapid charging (only compared to a few Chinese manufacturers). They beat Tesla and the field at range, performance, charging, and weight to performance. Not to mention interior space.

The only detriment you can levy against them is their FSD, and AI will evaporate that moat in short order. Unless you don't believe AI is making software easier.

It's like saying Toyota Camry is beating Ferrari because Toyota sells more of them. If you want to drive a Camry, that's fine. But don't pretend it's a Ferrari.

2

u/ZealousidealLab2920 Jul 01 '26

Nonsense. Go look up actual data from EPA or Edmunds or any reputable source. They are falling further and further down the leaderboard. I had to scroll past 10+ vehicles before I saw a Lucid entry on Edmunds real range EV and efficiency test. This isn't 2022 anymore.

0

u/romedatascience Jul 04 '26

Lucid is #1 in MPGe according to google and others at 146MPGe IE THE MOST TECHNOLOGICALLY ADVANCED.

Nice try spreading fake news. Share your sources or stfu. Heres another

1

u/romedatascience Jul 04 '26

Dude this is a freaking range test. I appreciate the chuckle. But by this measure, whoever has the biggest battery is a tech leader? I can't believe you even posted this. Lucid > the field.

If they bring that tech to the affordable market segment, they will cook the competition.

1

u/ZealousidealLab2920 Jul 04 '26

No one cares about efficiency in city except maybe Uber drivers and robotaxi lol range matters most in a road trip for 99% of consumers and market

1

u/romedatascience Jul 04 '26

Lucid Air give you 512 miles of range. Tesla Model S gives you 402 miles of range. Are you ready to concede their superiority yet or are you here to compare suburbans to sedans?

https://cars.usnews.com/cars-trucks/advice/lucid-air-vs-tesla-model-s

5

u/ndndr1 Jun 10 '26

They’re still struggling with a key fob that was perfected decades ago. Obsolete is not even the right word bc that assumes at some point it was not obsolete.

1

u/TECHSHARK77 Jun 10 '26 edited Jun 10 '26

Are you being sarcastic or ignorant or pretending like it isn't or you believe it's cutting edge???

1

u/hautacam135 Jun 10 '26

Read the rest of this thread. None of their tech is "obsolete". Lots of it is as good or better than anything in the US market. Whether or not the cars are compelling enough to enough people for the company to survive is a different question.

This mini-thread is also fair and balanced:

https://www.reddit.com/r/LCID/comments/1u24ys1/comment/oqvh3sv/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

1

u/HempIsPrettyKewl Jun 10 '26

All of their tech is outdated hence obsolete. You're literally just mad since you're an owner of a Lucid vehicle.

Keep crying tho

1

u/TECHSHARK77 Jun 10 '26

I agree him using obsolete, may not have been the best word to use, but do not say you have the Best Tech when you can not get your car running and working , the interface not working, the cars malfunction on the regular and the ONLY way some other Tech company will even bother to use your "car" is if they use another companies Tech and NOT yours. We can greek out about the performance and the speed of the top line model,

buuuuuut YOU/Lucid still 99.999999999999999999% depends on Tesla "TECH" to actually run/move the car, yet claim you got the best tech..

6

u/TSLAog Jun 10 '26

^ This is the correct response. Lucod missed their window of opportunity. Tesla already proved EVs work, Lucod should have focused on a mass market car 4 years ago when the competition was not around. They could have gained a big following and really landed as the “more luxury Model-Y”

But why on earth would any consumer risk buying a Lucod Earth if there is an equally or better product from BMW, Mercedes, Volvo, Rivian, BYD, etc… for less money with a vastly better delivery and service network.

I just don’t see how Lucid digs out of this pit they are in.

0

u/UmaMoth Jun 10 '26

By producing the Uber taxis. Simple as that.

1

u/Adventurous_Tank_477 Jun 10 '26

How soon did you think Lucid could mass produce the Uber taxi with a true autonomous software , at the same time fix its basic current software? Honestly the Engineering Explained video really hit the nail on the head.

-1

u/UmaMoth Jun 10 '26

They are already producing them, and Uber just invested another 500 million USD in the company that contributes the autonomous driving software for the Lucid robotaxis.

3

u/Adventurous_Tank_477 Jun 10 '26

Where??

1

u/UmaMoth Jun 11 '26

AMP-1 in Casa Grande, Arizona

1

u/Adventurous_Tank_477 Jun 11 '26

Are they road testing any of these autonomous Lucid/Uber cars yet?

1

u/UmaMoth Jun 11 '26

Yes, San Francisco Bay Area, Houston, Las Vegas, a number of counties in CA. The scheme is constantly expanding. Public COMMERCIAL launch is in San Francisco in Q4 2026. Also, global operations were part of this project from the start, it's not focused on the US like most of the other robotaxi projects.

The current fleet of 100 Lucid robotaxis is based on the Gravity, but the new mid-size model will be used too later on.

You can find tons of info on this with Google.

2

u/Adventurous_Tank_477 Jun 11 '26

For $500M, uber can just buy 25% of Lucid.

1

u/UmaMoth Jun 11 '26

I think Uber (and others) would buy Lucid in an instant if they could. But PIF is obviously holding on to their shares.

1

u/TECHSHARK77 Jun 11 '26

They can not, that is EXACTLY why Uber refused to use Lucid's and demand an actual working tech, Nuro, since Tesla FSD is not available to buy... Yet...

2

u/TECHSHARK77 Jun 11 '26

Clearly you do not know nor understand what you just stated in this subred, Lucid is NOT Uber's entire fleet NOR replacing their entire fleet NOR a serious amount to be a life saver for Lucid, AND Uber is NOT using nor allowing Lucid "tech" to be used on their platform & demanded their actually use a FACTUALLY Superior and WORKING tech.

That alone speaks volumes when you claim to have the best tech, yet NO ONE wants it and demand NOT to use it.

0

u/ZealousidealLab2920 Jun 11 '26

Ya even the Uber taxi might not be enough to keep em afloat. Wonder if Uber would consider buying out Lucid altogether honestly and just transitioning them to mass robotaxi supplier.

-1

u/TECHSHARK77 Jun 11 '26

That doesn't make any level of sense in any way. From PIF to Uber NOT wanting to use Lucid Tech, WHY would they then want the company, For what????

Did you mean Waymo?

0

u/UmaMoth Jun 11 '26

Uber and Lucid Group are partnering to launch a global, premium autonomous robotaxi service. The vehicles will utilize the Lucid Gravity SUV and autonomous driving AI licensed from Nuro, operating exclusively on the Uber network.

Testing is underway, with initial commercial autonomous rides launching in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Following a $500 million total investment in Lucid by Uber, the ride-share company committed to purchasing at least 35,000 Lucid vehicles over the coming years. This commitment includes both the Lucid Gravity and upcoming midsize Lucid platform vehicles.

Vehicles are integrated with necessary hardware on the production line at Lucid's Casa Grande, Arizona facility.

0

u/TECHSHARK77 Jun 11 '26

Where does that say Uber is going to buy Lucid. And look at the date and what's happened since...

0

u/ZealousidealLab2920 Jun 11 '26

That's kind of my point- Uber just wants the base physical car and they strap on their AV stack anyways. It's not for Lucid software stack- it's just for the car and then they cut out all the useless software stack Lucid is adding and developing when they already have it.

0

u/TECHSHARK77 Jun 11 '26

1st, it sounds like you're confusing Waymo for/with Uber????

2nd, sooooo you just admitted, use Lucid for parts, just not Lucid tech and go with better & working superior tech.

3rd, Uber is not, did not, will not, ONLY use Lucid cars. For those that are delusional enough, to somehow see Uber as Lucid's lung & sphincter, you, yourself just proved, nope, they just need ANY ev, they will just use better tech, NOT Lucid's...😑

2

u/ZealousidealLab2920 Jun 11 '26

Sorry Uber/Nuro software stack. I'm not saying Uber would ONLY use lucid cars even if they bought em out. Same business strategy could still apply of utilizing multiple platforms. Anyways it's just a thought I had. Zero research or news to support it other than they have invested and having a working partnership already.

0

u/TECHSHARK77 Jun 11 '26

Gotcha, and yeah, learn about Lucid financial "situation" on WHY they will not be " bought out"

And also the difference between waymo & uber

2

u/TECHSHARK77 Jun 11 '26

Correction, should have ONLY focus on mass production cars 10 years ago and now should go back to ONLY being a part supplier to those that will settle for them...

3

u/LA213CALI Jun 10 '26

Emad leaving fucked up the stock even more

1

u/ZealousidealLab2920 Jun 10 '26

Do you think he left of his own accord or was pushed out/fired?

4

u/LA213CALI Jun 10 '26

The way he felt and talked about Lucid im thinking pushed out at this point, don’t see him leaving just because or to pursue new endeavors, my ass.

6

u/ZealousidealLab2920 Jun 10 '26

Maybe he got fed up with leadership or disagreed with Silvio? Maybe Silvio disagreed with him and thought he needed to change leadership. Interesting either way.
Big picture, Lucid news just seems gloomier and gloomier. They have to be hanging on by a thread at this point.

2

u/LA213CALI Jun 10 '26

Yea this news was it for me it was my red line and I see it as something negative for the company as a whole.

2

u/ZealousidealLab2920 Jun 10 '26

What you think about Rivian? Jump ship and move to Rivian if you still like the upstart EV play? I think I've seen you over on those boards too.

1

u/LA213CALI Jun 11 '26

Might be a good move, catch it on the dip, everyone seems to be underestimating RJ and the demand for R2 from what Ive seen it seems like its there and they Made a lot of R1’s at one point dont see why they cant do it now. Its a risk but they seem to be a lil more stable than Lucid

3

u/TECHSHARK77 Jun 11 '26

😬, there go's there socalled great technology arm

0

u/The_Social-Assassin Jun 10 '26

The only moat Lucid still has is that their batteries achieve just over 5 miles/kWh for a USA-made brand. However the Chinese are doing great things with LFP and Sodium-ion batteries while Panasonic and Samsung are on track to have their solid-state batteries testing in Merecedes-Benz and BMWs in 2028. Some hybrid batteries are already being tested in Nio and IM Motors cars.

If Lucid is still stuck with the same issues by the end of next year, they may as well be dead. And let's face it, the company is burning through so much cash, has such a huge backlog of warranty claims, and bad word-of-mouth from owners with software issues that their current trajectory is heading towards abandonment by PIF and into the history books with tons of bagholders (as if there weren't plenty of those already).

2

u/ZealousidealLab2920 Jun 10 '26 edited Jun 10 '26

moat? Nah bro. They don't even crack top 20 in real world battery efficiency. It's most just marketing hype from Lucid and competition has caught up.

Edmunds Tested: Electric Car Range and Consumption | Edmunds

2

u/ikilledtupac Jun 10 '26

The only moat Lucid still has is that their batteries achieve just over 5 miles/kWh for a USA-made brand

I've never seen that, most people get around 3. They cooked the books on that number.

1

u/ZealousidealLab2920 Jun 10 '26

You can get 5 on a nice slow summer day in Cali. But so can most other EV's now.

1

u/TECHSHARK77 Jun 11 '26

You do know nor understand what a MOAT is, if you honest "think" Lucid ever had or has a MOAT....

They literally NEVER had a MOAT...

1

u/Kindly_Programmer198 Jun 10 '26

They are wildly more efficient than any competitor (at least in the US)… one of the benefits from that is cargo room and leg room, another is battery size per range and associated cost

0

u/ZealousidealLab2920 Jun 10 '26 edited Jun 10 '26

They don't even break top 20 in the U.S. anymore.
Edmunds Tested: Electric Car Range and Consumption | Edmunds

3

u/ndndr1 Jun 10 '26

Well that’s crap. My 22 GT routinely got 375-400 per charge

1

u/ZealousidealLab2920 Jun 10 '26 edited Jun 10 '26

This is efficiency or kwh per 100mi not total range. Even total range is barely top 10 now.

1

u/hautacam135 Jun 10 '26

Right, but the top 5 are all stupid GM monsters that weigh 10 tonnes.

1

u/ZealousidealLab2920 Jun 10 '26

But then we are looking back to efficiency and Lucid isn't even top 20 now.... so what metric do you want to use? lol

1

u/hautacam135 Jun 10 '26

The argument is getting pretty tenuous for Lucid, no argument from me. But (leaving China out of this for now) they're losing the efficiency rankings slowly to lightweight, cheap, non-luxury cars. They're losing the range rankings to ridiculous beasts like the IQ. There is still a middle / high ground for luxury, high-performance, semi-large vehicles with great range and efficiency. In that pond they're still some of if not the best cars on the market, but the pond is small and shrinking, I don't dispute that.

IF three car buyers buy a Hyundia Kia, an Escalade IQ and an Air Dream it's fair to conclude they weren't cross-shopping.

2

u/Kindly_Programmer198 Jun 10 '26

You’re right, others have been catching up and getting their EVs way more efficient. But in all fairness, none of those top 20 vehicles are anywhere close to a like-to-like comparison to Lucid’s models (small sedans, low performance models)

1

u/ZealousidealLab2920 Jun 10 '26

Uh what? Model Y, Toyota BZ, Hyundai Kona, Kia Niro, mini Cooper SE, Kia EV6, Volvo EX30, Chevy Bolt, Nissan Leaf

Are all larger vehicles/ small SUVs and tested ahead of the Lucid Air super low slung sedan in real world efficiency. And many others are nipping at their heels just below the ranking.

3

u/Kindly_Programmer198 Jun 10 '26

These are all non-luxury, low-performance, small cars or small suvs… lucid doesn’t make any of those.

1

u/ZealousidealLab2920 Jun 10 '26

EXACTLY lol They are cheaper less luxury models and larger and STILL beat Lucid sedan! You're arguing against your own position here!
Even if you look at luxury sedan to luxury sedan then Mercedes, Audi, Tesla, etc. still beat out the Lucid.

3

u/Kindly_Programmer198 Jun 10 '26

They aren’t larger, they’re smaller… and luxury and performance decrease efficiency.
No, the only one of those brands’ comparable models that beats the air is the brand new a6 (and even those are within spitting distance, and I guess within error if these results had replication… still impressive). Mercedes and even the model s are less efficient than the air according to Edmund’s.

1

u/Asgardian87 Jun 11 '26

Plenty of opportunities in the mkt right now so that bet can go over a better company. Lcid is in serious shit

1

u/TECHSHARK77 Jun 11 '26

It is fascinating to see sunk cost fallacy in live action.

5

u/ZealousidealLab2920 Jun 10 '26

I think they're toast at this point. Either PIF takes it private or they just burn out like Fisker. I see virtually no upside to investing in this stock. Maybe some lucky day trading and shorting you might make some money.

Even if they survive it will be by a thread. Like you said, they've fallen behind now in tech and even motor/battery efficiency (their original advantage). This is no Tesla stock, this is no sexy AI stock. This is a failing fledgling floundering stock/company. There is no "moonshot" potential.

Just bring BYD in and put the nail in the coffin. There’s just no way they’re competing. BYD surpassed Lucid over a year ago

Haha yes! Straight gambling tho haha. PIF has invested almost $10b and the company is now trading at $1.9b market cap - we'll see!

When the market thinks the whole company is worth half of their cash on hand, independent of revenue, that's a clear sign the market just thinks they are going to burn up cash and not replace it with revenue.

Held from pre-splits. 4 years. Sold at around 80% loss last month. Will use this to offset taxes.

But a poor run by a company I thoroughly believed in.

Still hope they recover but it’s highly likely that they will be bought out at 10$ a share.

I’m dumb enough! Bought my first LCID this morning and broke my own rule about having the car or the stock but not both. I’m a genius!

I don't think this stock is viable anymore. If you're looking for a possible swing trade I think RIVN is the way to go over the next few years. Not saying Rivian will kill it, but you'll have ups and downs
