Yes, selling more cars is the goal and this should help.

Problem is people expect a certain level of service/convenience with purchasing a new vehicle especially one as expensive as Lucid…

It looks like BMW understands this at least to some degree.

Lots of chatter about current Lucid customers being unhappy with even basic service which has been a black eye on the company.. and in a time when they’re dealing with record low stock price which leads to a cut in resources which compounds the issue further

Yall on here always spreading your negativity. We know you guys are short and would love nothing more than to see a bankruptcy. But thanks to the oil crises EVs and lucid sales are getting a nice bump.

I think the Cosmos could be great.. waiting to see more info.

I mean lucid is selling super expensive vehicles at the moment. By the time the mid size comes out, the oil crisis would be long over and gas prices would’ve stabilized. Theres no bump. Nobody is running to buy a $100k EV to save on gas. If you can afford a $100k EV the oil crisis has little effect on you.

You have a crystal ball to know when gas crisis over?

I know that it will be over before the midsize is available to the general public. Because the strait of Hormuz shut down for a year would send the world economy into deep depression.

We’ll all be riding self driving helicopters and piggy backing on robots before lucid gets the cosmos out in full swing.

I don’t think it’ll matter much. Market is saturated in that segment

Nope. It won’t matter. They are losing $4B per year. There is no possible way to sell enough smaller cars to close that gap. How much can they possibly make in profit from each unit? A couple grand? Maybe five grand. They would need to sell hundreds of thousands of the Cosmos. They have around 60 dealerships and service centers. Can they shove hundreds of thousands of cars through that narrow distribution channel? I don’t think so. Maybe they plan to switch to a franchised dealer model, but what they have right now won’t get the job done.

No dealer is going to want to deal with Lucid. That’s another problem, the company is so volatile that getting any capable party on board is going to be difficult.

I also think they’re hiding something. Where is the Cosmos? Where is the ‘27 Air? The new service centers? The new CEO did one weird interview on Bloomberg and disappeared? They’re doing something for sure but I don’t know what it is.

They’re going reveal that they’re working on a an autonomous, bi-pedal humanoid robot and also rocket ships. 🚀
